Home show has a ton of selection and not bad prices (especially if you have the Club Card). In my last 2 trips there, however, I have been extremely put off by the sevice - the staff there are TOO pushy. They are a bit like vultures. I don't like feeling like I have to avoid staff members when I'm shopping! I would recommend this place for ideas for furniture, but watch out for pushy salespeople, and don't get guilted into buying something you don't want/need!
I recently discovered Pioneer Bedding, and I have been nothing but impressed with their merchandise and service. The staff will go out of their way to answer any questions you might have - I even had a staff member telephone another staff member (who was off that day) in order to get an answer to a question that I had. When I bought new sheets there (which are gorgeous, by the way), I forgot to ask an important question about washing/drying them, and when I called Pioneer to ask what I needed to know, they were extremely friendly and helpful. I will be going back there in the near future, and probably for years to come. They definitely made me feel like a welcome and appreciated customer!
I love HomeSense!! If you're redecorating your home, or just want to add some accents or accessories, this place should be on your shopping list! I recently went there looking for some new dishes, and came out with a new mirror, artwork, and a number of plants for my living room! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the price is unbeatable (for the quality of merchandise)!
Royal lighting has the most incredible selection I have ever seen. They literally have EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine in terms of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. The price is certainly reasonable, and they have a lot of nice stuff. The staff there seemed helpful and friendly, although I had to track somebody down at one point (i.e., they were a little scarce). Nonetheless, I felt like a valued customer. I purhased a set of outdoor lights for my garden and have been complimented on them several times by friends and neighbours. I would go back.
