I was lucky winner of the ugly half bath makeover contest sponsored by Marvel Cabinetry, Knight Contracting and Laporte Custom Stone. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. From the initial contact with Neal from Knight and Jesse from Marvel, I was happy with their professionalism and "get it done" attitude. I was treated like any new client, was told what to expect, the approximate time line and my part on how, and where to choose the materials etc. Once the demo began, the makeover continued to move like clockwork. Everything that could be accomplished in a day was completed. Garbage was cleaned up and tools taken away so I could continue to use the space outside of the bathroom. The next steps were clearly communicated and who I would expect next (i.e.: painter) and what would happen next. Neal was quick to remove the old and ugly, and prep the room to have the floors tiled the following day. Day three (consecutive) I had the opportunity to meet Melinda who did a fabulous job painting my little ensuite; trim, walls and ceiling. While all of the changes were going on in my ensuite, my cabinet was being built from scratch with the specs and design Jesse from Marvel and I came up with. I wanted drawers, doors and for it to look like a piece of furniture with character and in the color of my choice. Jesse and I spent a morning picking out supplies and my finishes including lighting, faucets, toilet, handles and necessary supplies. So grateful for his knowledge, patience (shopping with a women) and design sense. Once the vanity arrived Neal was back at it, putting the whole project together. The final day Neal came in on a Saturday. He completed the plumbing, tying up loose ends and adding the final touches. In all we had some great chats, (he even took care of some solicitors when they came to the door) I learnt about his work ethic and was so impressed with his morals and skills. It truly made me believe in a genuine authentic general contractor whom I would gladly give my next job to, small or big, or even entrust a complete home build. I will definitely pass their names around and you should too. When someone asks if I know a guy, now I have a "guy" for any of my home renovation needs; Contractor - Knight Contracting, custom Cabinetry - Marvel Cabinetry and Shayne from Laporte stone. I was truly impressed with these companies and they do amazing work. I'm so proud of my beautiful bathroom. -Brianne Bleile

Replaced the HW heater with a tankless model after they recommended their model. The install was good but the product was not as good as they described and not worth the money.
