John did a wonderful job coordinating with the electric company (PowerStream) as well as ESA and doing the install. New panel installed with new equipment and breakers - rewired and removed previous double taps. He also replaced several GFCIs as well as deco switches in the house. Also stopped a second time to look at another problem (flickering light due to malfunctioning lampholder) and offered to fix without charge. Passed ESA with flying colors. Great guy overall.

Inquired about quotations regarding a 30 amp line install + NEMA plug for EVSE. The line would be coming from the panel downstairs in the basement and up into the garage. Corresponded with Hellen through email and scheduled an appointment for site assessment. Ibrahim came a couple of days later and gave me a fair quote. He was fairly knowledgeable and gave me multiple options regarding how to fish the line. A week later, Ibrahim came back to do the job. It took about 2-3 hours. Ran into a few snags but got it done. He had to cut a couple of holes in the basement dry wall (some weren't perfect) but It was relatively a clean install. He vacuumed and tidied up after. My only gripe (which he clearly warned me of) was that I would have to patch the holes in the drywall myself. This is something they do not apparently do. While assessing the panel, he also spotted some issues that he made us aware of and recommended fixes down the road. Very nice of him to do that. The office scheduled an ESA inspection several days later and upon passing, was emailed an invoice of the job + certificate of inspection. All in all, a wonderful and pleasant experience. I would highly recommend AC Electrical!

Good day J, thank you for taking the time to share your experience in regards to electrical work performed by our company. It means a lot to us that you had a pleasant experience and would highly recommend AC Electrical to others. In regards to the plastering/ patching of the holes in the drywall; we normally contact a third party plasterer to patch the holes at an additional cost, but many clients prefer to hire their own plasterer or do the patching themselves. While it could have been nice for our electrician to do the patching, our electricians are not professionally versed with that type of skill. However, we appreciate the ratings and look forward to working with you again in the future. All the best for 2016!

Note: We are Spring Home customers, having incurred their services to replace the old furnace and AC several years ago. We just surpassed the warranty period. We started to have issues with our furnace blowing cold air only. Refused to ignite, would cycle and eventually go into lockout mode. Called Cheryl and booked an appointment. She was pleasant to deal with over the phone. On the first visit (paid), the HVAC tech, Justin, diagnosed the problem to a faulty thermostat. I had a backup thermostat so I replaced it myself with his guidance. Originally, it would trip on the flame sensor so that was cleaned by him. A week went by and the same issue popped up. Called Cheryl again and asked for Justin to come by and check. She sent someone the same day. On this second visit (paid), burners were found not to be igniting properly so that was cleaned. He also recommended general maintenance, something that we haven't done in years. So we eventually booked an appointment for maintenance, knowing that we would have to fork over some more $. We kindly asked for a discount as this would be a third paid visit. Justin had to call Cheryl who then spoke to the manager/owner, George. To our surprise, he was kind enough to go above and beyond and offer the maintenance free of charge. All in all, we are very pleased with the service. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the Spring!

Noticed water seeping through the left side floor in our basement last spring. Had a couple of companies that wanted to dig outside and waterproof/patch. Clarke Basement Systems noticed one small crack on the wall foundation and decided to do the repair inside. Went with them as per their recommendation. They installed the Flexispan material, removed and replace drywall all in a couple of hours. Even after the remnants of storm Patricia along with the intense rain and wind, no leaks as of late! Thanks guys! Edit: Had them look at another small leak recently from the back of the house. We did a leak test and diagnosed the problem in less than an hour. They did not do the work but offer suggestions as to how to patch it - work required was more so carpentry/doors than basement/foundation. The visit was free of charge. AMAZING! L and J of Markham

Contacted Dr. Antenna (Chris) regarding the removal of a TV Tower that we inherited when we bought the house a couple of years ago. Only decided to take it down this summer since it was: 1) a sight for sore eyes; 2) possibly a safety issue in the future. Chris was very easy going and helpful throughout the process. He arrived on the property at the arranged time and began working as soon as we gave him the OK. The disassembly and disposal of materials took less than an hour. He also kindly took a look at the roof while he was up there to inspect where the brace was originally installed and did some minor patch up repair. All in all, a job well done and fair price, I might add. Do not be hesitant to give Chris a call if you need a TV Tower down, or an HDTV antenna up, or even branch removal services! Thanks again! Highly recommended! J/L of Markham

J. (son) here on behalf of L. and E. P. of North York. We needed to move an entire apartment (3 rooms, at the third floor) from North York to a detached home in Markham. Two movers showed up at the door, Rocky and his sidekick (sorry, your name escapes my memory at the moment). They arrived 15 minutes earlier than scheduled and started to get to work. There were a lot of bulky stuff to be moved, such as heavy boxes in various sizes, a chest freezer, a couple of old crt-like TVs, bed frames, mattresses and boxsprings, computer chairs, a digital piano (wood finish) and so on. We also had two bulky pieces of furniture that needed to be tossed out (a loveseat and a sofa) and they were kind enough to carry it out for us to the dumpster. We also had a couple of fragile things such as lamps that needed to be moved. All mattresses and boxsprings were covered in pads and/or wrapping. Furniture pieces, the piano and the tvs were also meticulously wrapped. It took about 3 hours to get everything into the trunk, with still room to spare! We left the apartment expecting to trail them or lead the way, but they told us to go on ahead to the new home and meet them there. Now some (shady) moving companies will often make random stops, driving around the city to 'extend the time' meaning more cost for the consumer! Well, we arrived at the Markham home and after 10-15 minutes or so, they're already at our door! Amazing! We color-coordinated most of our boxes so it would be easier for the movers to bring it up (which box goes which room, and so on). Rocky was nice enough to remove his shoes and bring everything upstairs since the home is carpeted. A couple of pieces had to go to the basement. The entrance is slightly narrow making for large pieces to be a tight fit. However, the two movers had no issue - well, maybe a little - but they handled it professionally. Everything was done ~ 5 hours. Great moving service. We tipped well! I hope that was enough for a big lunch, and a bit more, boys! :) Definitely going to recommend to family and friends. Thanks again!!! Oh and Maria/Rocky, just a heads up that on that receipt for tax purposes. We already spoke to Rocky after the move, that he'll email it to us in a day or two. I hope you don't forget! Please send it to E P.'s email, the gmail email on file. Thanks again! Really appreciate it! J. (son) on behalf of L. and E. P., now of Markham ;)

Asked the two men from 1-800-got-junk to remove an old fridge, washer and dryer. These were really old appliances left by the previous owner, not to mention super heavy. And I mean really heavy!!! They were removed from our basement. The fridge didn't fit to basement entrance so they had to pry off the doors. A tad pricey for my liking but for all the work they've done getting it out of there, it was worth it. The two men were friendly and understanding. Thanks again! L/J from Markham. Will def. recommend this company to others.
