My 25 year old Hoover started to smell kind of funny a couple weeks ago so I took it into Al's to have a look at (for free!). They installed a new filter and replace some foam around the top and it's good as new. I'm happy they were able to fix it because they don't make things like they used to, even vacuums.
I selected Brinks for my alarm system after having two other companies visit my home. The salesman was great and even had a test keypad for me to try out. He was also very honest about the components I needed to install and the ones I didn't need, plus at the time, Brinks had a special package with a fancy alarm pad so I went for it. The installer wasn't that great and didn't really think like a homeowner - he wanted to put my alarm behind the most inconvenient place behind my front door and I had to help him with placement of my motion detectors. I do feel very confident in the monitoring system and the keypad that was installed is ridiculously easy to operate.
I contacted Justin to repair my leaking toilet and have a look around my plumbing for anything dangerous. Since I was renovating my bathroom anyways, Justin suggested I wait to fix the leak until the new toilet was put in. His honesty was much appreciated and he was very great to work with! Thanks Justin

It is our policy to give our customers the best options available and let you make the decision from there. The toilet in this case was leaking from the base when flushed, indicating that the wax seal needed to be replaced. Nobody was currently living in the residence and you planned to do a renovation before anyone moved in. In this particular case we could have changed the wax seal and stopped the leak, or saved your money for the reno, at which point in time the toilet would have been replaced and a new wax ring installed. I did not feel that it was worth spending the money on it, when it would just be replaced shortly after anyways.

Fantastic and quick service! The lock on my front door broke on (of course) Saturday and it was difficult to find a friendly and trustworthy locksmith that would come on the weekend. Colin to the rescue! He stayed until the job was done and we were even able to keep my old fashioned deadbolt.
Being a young female dealing with a leaky basement can be a little scary but Gary has put my mind at ease about my renovation project. He's been very honest with me and has taken the time to explain to my why my basement has been leaking and what I need to do to stop water from getting inside. Turns out, my weeping tile system was never installed correctly from the get go and water has been leaching downstairs for more than 20 years. Based on Gary's advice and recommendations I was able to make an educated decision about the job, plus, did not feel like I was getting ripped off or being talked into something that wasn't right.
