Our AC unit needed replacing just before the cooling season began. Luc Menard got back to us very fast and they were available almost right away for an installation. Their quote was the least expensive by a narrow margin as well. The installation went very smoothly and faster than was expected. Our install was apparently a very simple one. So far the unit has functioned well. There have been no problems in the first few weeks of use. I was very impressed, especially with Luc himself. I would definitely go with Rick Menard again.

We had Jason come to upgrade an Attic vent back in 2013. The service was very fast and easy for us (he did it while we were at work) and he even fixed a cracked vent cover on our roof for free. Would recommend Kovar Contracting and hire them again.

We had Parent heating and cooling come to do our 2015 maintenance for our furnace and a/c last fall. They told us our a/c would need to be tested for a coolant leak before the next cooling season. When we called to schedule a leak test this spring they told us the maintenance they performed in the fall was probably not properly performed so we would have to pay to have it done again. We had a separate company take a look at the a/c unit and it took about 5 minutes for them to tell us the coolant was completely gone and we would be wasting our money doing a leak test (on a 17 year old unit). While the technician who did our fall service was very nice, I am not 100% confident our furnace was legitimately serviced as I know my a/c was not. Will definitely not go with Parent in the future.

We asked for a quote to fertilize two of our trees but they told us there was no point in doing one of them due to a large girdling root. Honest and quick service with reasonable prices. Will use them when we need to get the tree with the girdling root taken down.

We hired Stonehenge Masonry to fix our front steps last fall. The outside stones of our steps were all loose and sagging. Stonehenge gave a very good estimate and did not try to oversell us. We did have a bit of trouble as they showed up to do the job much earlier than they were supposed, so we were not ready with access to water and electricity. Also we had to call them back to remind them that the job was not finished (they forgot to put mortar between the stones). The mason they sent out was very nice and informative, however. Lastly, some steps loosened up over the winter and they came out to reglue them for free. The mortar between some of the front steps also came out over the winter so the appearance of our steps is not 100%. Overall, we are satisfied with the work but would not immediately go to them for our next repair.

We had Nathan and his guys come out and repair a crack in the spring of 2013. We thought very highly of their customer service and their work but the crack continued to be a problem (Water continued to trickle into our basement). They came out the next spring thaw to fix it for free but again the fix did not take. Finally this spring they came out and did the whole thing over again from scratch and it appears to have worked. Even though we had to have them come back twice I would still recommend them to anyone else and would hire them again.
