Had a broken toilet flange. Ezra came on Canada Day. Fixed the flange, added a new rubber ring (for durability vs. wax ring), and remounted the toilet. He was friendly, mellow, and honest. And the price for parts and labour was great. Feels like he's our new plumber!

We hired Kiya Sunrise (KS) mostly to add a secondary box our overcrowded panel. I was happy with the price and their willingness to do the job. (Some electricians wanted to double the house's capacity for thousands of dollars, but we never trip breakers and our usage is modest; so really we just needed another box.) I was happy with everything except when we tried to use the new dryer: poof! Smoke came out the back and it stopped working. Turns out KS had treated the dryer as a 110 not a 220. We were lucky the dryer survived. To their credit, KS came back the next day to fix the issue. But they weren't apologetic about the mistake. And it gave me a pretty good scare and left me wondering about KS's precision.

Hello,
We appreciate you finding us online and detailing your experience. We would like to apologize for any inconveniences experienced throughout your project. Unfortunately, we do not have any record of your service call and we kindly ask that you reach out to us so we can resolve the issue. Based on the details you provided, using a 110v in place of 220v would result in the appliance not having enough power to turn on. Marcus and his team are amazing! Marcus is professional, kind, and fair. And he has really polite and clean workers too. Marcus came recommended by our contractor, and we're so glad we found him! Some of the big companies will charge you an arm and a leg, and do shoddy work. But Marcus is the small business working hard to please. And boy are we pleased! (1) First job was a backwater valve ($2000, less city rebate of $1250, which is at the low-end of what folks charge). Did an amazing job. (2) While doing the backwater valve on our century-old house, the team saw that another drainage pipe--ceramic--was shattered. That was a huge job (concrete, digging, hauling off dirt and waste, laying new pipe, patching up like new. $720. (3) We needed to add a new laundry upstairs, which meant tapping into the shower's plumbing. Marcus did an amazing job for a couple hundred bucks. (4) In the basement, we needed the old laundry pipes shifted 3 feet. It was quite challenging work that took half a day, but Marcus did it beautifully and expertly, for just $250. On top of it all, Marcus is friendly and generous, clean and caring.

Our furnace was dripping like mad every time the AC was on. Worried that it meant a big problem. Went with House Depot, based on ratings here. Glad I did. They fixed the situation in 5 minutes, then stayed a while to completely seal and tidy up the leaky area. That was 10 AC-filled days ago, and not one drop of water since.

Roman was great! I called this morning. He had time later the same day and arrived on time. He set a very fair price for parts and labour, and then got to work. He was able to (1) put a lock on our very old sliding glass patio door, (2) take the ancient mortise door mechanism off a closet, install the same mortise on a bedroom door, (3) put a plate and new door mechanism on the closet door. So he significantly improved three different doors in our old Toronto house. He worked long and hard and was a complete gentleman. I would recommend his services to anyone!

Had Boys in Blue come to work on a leaky eavestrough. Nice guy came and worked at it for a couple of hours. Sadly it didn't help. Once the rains came it leaked. Probably should have tested it with a garden hose, etc. Anyway, a disappointing experience.

Super glad we called Perfect Pick. We had 3 little girls trapped in a bedroom behind a door that broke. It was a very old door and the mortice lock just gave out while they were in there. I worked hard at it for 45 mins and got nowhere. In the midst of that my wife called Perfect Pick: John hustled over in 20 minutes! He battled royally with the door until the deed was done. He was kind, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. Very grateful for his speedy work in liberating the 3 girls. I've got a couple of locks I need help with , and now after this experience I'll probably call PP first.

I'm glad that I was able to help spring your three trapped little girls. It was a bit of a task getting the mortise lock on your door open but my home made tool certainly did the job and helped save the day. Thanks Dylan so much for your wonderful review of the services I provided you. Any time you need help we're just a phone call away. We really appreciate your business. Thank you from A Perfect Pick Locksmiths!

We had a little leak in the roof. Quan was very busy, so it took about a week (and some persistence on my part) to iron out a mutual time, but he got the job done right! His work cost about 1/3 of the other company's bid. And yet, I feel that we did not sacrifice quality at all. Quan seemed very knowledgeable, and very honest. He refused to sell me work I didn't need, telling me I had several years of life in my flat roof and that his patching should do the trick for the years left on the roof. He was clean, courteous, fast, and friendly. A gentleman and a tradesman. I promptly referred him to a friend in the neighborhood. Thank you Quan!

We had a few leaks in the roof of our Toronto semi-detached house. I got a number of bids and Atlas' bid was the best: the lowest price, combined with good roofing materials, and great reviews on HomeStars. One of the biggest companies in Toronto gave me a price of about 10,000! Other companies also were substantially higher. And for what? For a small little job? Sina was great in terms of service and patience. He was such a decent and kind person to work with. There was no haggling, and there were no hidden costs or things left undone. And his crew was friendly as well. I'm writing this review, only after weathering the '10-'11 winter (quite snowy) and the heavy rains of April 2011. Not a drop in the house. The only thing I wished for was heat-reflecting shingles (and coatings) as an option. It's a really great way to save on cooling bills and good for the environment. Atlas didn't have much to go on here, and their materials supplier doesn't focus on heat reflecting shingles. If I had been doing a larger job, I would have insisted on this product, so I hope Atlas will find out more about this. I would have paid them more money for heat reflecting shingles and/or coatings. Thus, I'd HIGHLY recommend Atlas to friends and family, for a fair price and good service.

Thanks for your kind review. Unfortunately, our supplier doesn't focus on heat reflecting shingles yet. But, we can do it for the flat roof. so if you decide to do your flat roof in future, that would be no problem!
