We recently bought a Maytag package for our kitchen. We provided the measurements to the sales person on staff. The fridge arrived as promised but we could not install it ourselves right away because of something their contracting transport did. We went to install it ourselves and found that the fridge did not fit and it was tight that it also damaged our light switch and wall. We contacted Coast to rectify the problem only to be told that once a client provides measurements and signs the bill of sale that they do not assume any more responsibility. That they acted in accordance to their policy (which when asked about it, they could not provide specifics nor define any terms). Upon further conversations they concluded that again they acted in accordance to their responsibility and were not willing to make this situation right. I would not recommend the Vancouver Coast Wholesale Store to anyone especially if they are not familiar with their rights as clients. Be wary that you must provide the CORRECT measurements as they it is not their responsibility to determine anything else in your space. Once it leaves the store, it is no longer their responsibility. The sub-contractor transport company is advised not to install nor do a proper inspection of the area as they are instructed to by Coast Wholesale Appliances. Before accepting anything product at your home, make sure the appliances fit yourselves. Do not trust the transport company and do not sign off until you are 100% comfortable with your decision. My advice would be to spend more money and buy from a company that provides a full circle service not a company that just displays appliances and takes your money.
