As a result of a dog adoption, I had a small project to extend my chain link boundary fence and install a gate. Wayne, the business owner, was most helpful over the phone and a pleasure to deal with. He dropped by for a pre-inspection. The quote was competitive. Once I had the underground services located (as Wayne reminded me I needed to do), the work was done promptly and effectively by Dan. Wayne had forewarned me that our area is notorious for large rocks which might increase the cost somewhat (good to be told in advance). However, Dan was able to drive home the posts with some adjustments, and the final price was as per the quote. I would certainly recommend Abacus.

Enjoyed meeting with you Peter. The dog has certainly found a loving home. Pit run to boulders buried below in the NW part of town make digging a problem and makes hand digging a requirement. It can take up to 45 minutes to dig one hole when that happens. Not fun! Thanks for the review.

My 1999 home has a treated pine shake roof, which had received no maintenance prior to my purchase. Following Arco’s inspection, I had to wait longer than I expected to receive the quote from them (busy time of year I believe). However, the wait was worth it. The quote was precise and detailed, and included a roof drawing identifying specific repairs, as well as relevant photos. It defined exactly what work was required to maintain my roof’s performance for the next 5 years, including a couple of small items beyond the shake/ridge caps that needed replacement. Art, Arco’s principal, spent time to review the quote in detail with me, and gave me the confidence to proceed with them. The quote was competitive. The installation team of two was very professional, efficient, and polite. They also did a great job of cleanup. I have no hesitation in recommending Arco for shake roofing repairs.

The problem was an old but functional Bosch wall oven whose door wouldn't close properly and opened too far. On his initial visit, Tony found that the hinges needed replacing. He was able to find and price the parts right then, and gave me a quote for the repair, but put me under no pressure to give the go-ahead. I paid for the visit (just over $100) and he left me to consider whether to proceed. The parts were expensive, but way cheaper than a new oven so I booked a repair. A couple of days later, Valley View called to say parts were in, and so I scheduled the repair (about 1 week out). Tony and Steve did an excellent job, being very careful and clean. The job involved sliding out the oven to replace the hinge parts, which also included redoing some of the wiring. At all times, both were very polite, and a pleasure to deal with. Valley View's online technician tracking system allowed me to get a good idea of when they would be showing up within the appointment window. There was also an automated phone call to me as they were finishing their previous appointment. These are both very useful features of their service. I have no hesitation in recommending their service.
