We purchased two Velux skylights from Skylights Unlimited to have them installed by our general contractor, but Denis was very accommodating with both costing and scheduling, so we opted to have them installed by Skylights Unlimited as well... And are we ever glad that we did. The SU crew were extremely punctual, professional and accommodating, finished the project quickly working 10 hour days, we barely noticed them being here and the installation looks absolutely great - there's no shortage of compliments when our friends visit. We would absolutely recommend this company if you are looking to have new or replacement skylights installed.

Wow! Working with Aiad has been by far the best experience we have had with our major home renovation/remodel. We had a botched job from a previous contractor that most contractors did not even want to touch. We finally received 3 proposals, with Cosmopolitan's price being the best and Aiad having demonstrated a great level of knowledge and confidence during the walk through. So, after checking his references and one of their previous projects, we decided to award the project to him. The project started right on time and actually finished 4 days ahead of schedule! They worked around the clock, including the weekend, to make sure the project finished as soon as possible and with minimum disturbance to us. Aside from being very punctual, Aiad was extremely accommodating and helpful, always with a smile if I may add. He also has a great eye for detail and some great suggestions if you're looking for some architectural accents that separate your stucco project from others. His great work ethics coupled with his caring attitude, meant that he treated this project as if he was doing stucco on his own house. He made sure we were happy with every little thing throughout the entire process and I must say that the finished product is absolutely TOP NOTCH as far as workmanship is concerned. All in all, we're not only delighted with the new look for our house and how this project was executed, but we feel that we have made a good friend that we will be happy to recommend to anyone. Joel and C (Ciren) are simply amazing! They called to confirm the appointment exactly when they were supposed to, showed up exactly when they were supposed to, they were extremely friendly and accomodating and they finished the job quickly and cleaned up the site after they were finished. It was a pleasure dealing with them, we would definitely recommend them, and we would certainly call them again for any junk removal service.

To date, this is one of the best, if not the best, experiences we've had with any residential contractor. Jamie (the owner) was extremely knowlegeable and punctual and although the system he recommended to us was slightly more expensive than the lowest quote we received (around 10%), it was much more elaborate. Jamie took the time to review the layout of the trees and plants in the backyard in great detail, which is not what the other two contractors did. We also had to make a few minor changes within the first few weeks as a result of some changes in the backyard and he was nice enough to make the changes at no charge - which is pretty much unheard of these days. I would highly recommend Northern Rainmakers for your irrigation needs and that's exactly what we were told after contacting a few references.

RightChoice Roofing was hired to fix a roof that leaked only under certain conditions of heavy snow (3" or more) in late December 2009. The owner presented himself as an expert and experienced roofer and was paid $1000 to perform this repair. He supposedly fixed a gully and two valleys, and provided proper tie-in's with two other gullies - all to come with a full 5 year warranty as per the paperwork. There was no heavy snow between that period and a few weeks ago when our roof leaked again and exactly in the same spot (both at roof and cailing level). Right Choice roofing was called in to rectify the situation. However after a 5 minute visual inspection of the roof and without clearing the snow, he indicated there were no "drifts" or any idications of a leak! After seeing the ceiling inside, he changed his tune and said he was fix the problem for an additional $1,500 and then $1,000! We obviously did not agree and he left quite angry. We followed this visit with an e-mail the same night, to which he responded "obviously this was not the long term solutiion i had hoped it would be and a different solution is required". He had also called and left two messages the same night that he had time to think about this some more and would like to come in the next day to "rectify the problem". We gave him access to the property and during the two hours that he spent here, he only cleared the snow in that area on the roof, found some other problems with other areas of the rood and said that he was not as experienced last year when he fixed the roof and he knows how to do it now, but that we would only have to pay $500! We did not agree and that same day, there was another major snowfall and the roof leak became even worse than it was a few days prior. We called Right Choice roofing and and sent them e-mails in the next few day, stressing the urgency of the situation. In this period, the price of the warranty repair went up to $1,000 and then back to $500 for material only! Since then, he has used every excuse in the book from not leaking at all, to leaking in a different area, to it already made it through 2 winters and finally his warranty did not cover "severe weather" as per paperwork (no such thing on paperwork as you can see for yourself)!!! Rightchoice Roofing are the type of roofers featured on CBC's special program a week ago and are to be avoided at all costs.
