We purchased a home and there is a large crack along the garage floor. While looking for alternatives, we came across Pro Garage, two very friendly guys who provide the installation for the product. The flooring went down quick and we received tremendous service. Even when we asked them to come back to fix a minor detail, they were happy and accommodating. Jim reminded us that we could call him whenever we felt we needed any other repairs. We are very happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone looking for an alternative to regularly painting your concrete garage floor. This product will not stain and any dirt can be removed with soap and water.

We found Utopia Stones on craigslist and wanted to check out their showroom. They are open 7 days a week, and although it wasn't a fancy showroom, Utopia was able to show us what they have, and provided small blocks of sample for us to bring home if we needed. They have large amounts of marble, granite and quartz. Frank is a friendly young guy and was quick with a turnaround on an estimate. The factory is out back and we picked out the large piece of slab that he ultimately placed on hold for us. The final measure was quick, and the stone was ready before their deadline. They actually were ready to install before my cabinets were ready. But they were flexible to work with our schedules. Come time the install took place, 4 guys delivered the stone, and 2 guys installed and finished the job. Their price was very good, and beat out other contractors by quite a bit. I would recommend them.

We were in the market for some new appliances for our kitchen renovations, and wandered into Richmond Wholesale Appliances. It was the weekend and Dan was working at the Maycrest location. He was very knowledgeable and easy going. We ended up going back the following day and buying a wall oven. There was nothing wrong with this oven at all (some items have some dents, but most were perfect, just out of box). They offer a 6 month waranty as the item is inspected by their electrician when they first bring them in. We compared the unit to something from Sears or Home Depot, and it was a significant discount from those stores. I would go there to look again when I'm looking to replace any other appliances in the home.

The boiler of our radiant heating system decided to go and we woke up this morning to a very cold house in February. I called Westrim at 7:50 (they open at 8am) and Mario picked up the phone. He was very nice and knowing that we didn't have a flame on our boiler, did not then charge me a "priority" price on getting someone out ASAP. It was a very reasonable hourly charge out rate, and he could get someone there by noon. By 11:30am, Scott called and told us he was on the way. Scott was very detailed and showed interest in discussing the situation and took the time to show us around our furnace room (we are relatively new owners of the house). He gave us a thorough inspection of the furnace, fixed the problem, and helped service our boiler and even quickly looked at the condition of our water tank. Scott discussed the alternatives for us come time we decide to replace our tanks and told us what they would need to do to retrofit the new systems. It was a very informative visit. He was not pushy at all and at no time made us feel like our current system was inadequate. For a reasonable amount, quick turnaround, and a courteous bounch, I would highly recommend these guys for anyone who might need a quick fix, or to have a new unit installed. All in all a very professional experience from start to finish. Interesting note that another outfit I called charged $50 more an hour for a "priority" call because I had indicated we had no flame on our boiler.

We had our kitchen cabinets resurfaced in 2010 with this family owned and run business. The kitchen cabinets went from white to dark brown, using all existing boxes. The transformation was impressive, there was no hint of the old kitchen cabinets. Good workmanship. We had some reframing work done for new lights above the kitchen island, they have contractors on hand and can coordinate drywall contractor and electrician if you want. We had our own counters and tiling done, but they could have done that for us also. They are now doing bathroom renos also. Very friendly staff all around.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Didn't feel like we were the only job they were working on sometimes. Did not come every day to the job. That said, we also were not living at the house at the time, so we did not identify a pressing need to complete the job by a deadline.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Consider your kitchen completely out of commision during a kitchen renovation, even if it is just a resurfacing job. Pack things away if you don't want them to get dusty or dirty.
