I found Zack and Roy, via homestars. They beat out another estimate I got from a (contactor) friends recommendation, coming in faster and cheaper, by 1000. They were punctual and polite. Willing to change their other commitments around to help satisfy my pregnant wife's requirements of minimal paint smell. They did great work and were willing to come back and fix up spots later. We liked them so much, we extended the project to include the exterior and the enterity of our downstairs. Roy was very knowledgeable and helped guide us on a few key decisions. I would definitely hire them both again in a heartbeat.

I had the pleasure of hiring Alex to replace our old and somewhat dangerous cedar deck. This is the 2nd time we'd worked together, so I knew what to expect; A master craftsman. Not having a huge amount of funds to commit to the project, Alex was able to work with me and my somewhat tight money constrains. He came out on the budget, even when the project was harder than expected and he had to work extra hours. A true testament to a good contractor. Having been burnt by contractors in the past, where hourly rates can spiral out of control, it is still a very pleasant surprise to see somebody "doing it right". Alex and his wife are hard workers, arriving promptly and always cheery and willing to explain the road ahead to the laymen. We are thrilled with our new deck and can't wait for better weather to try it out.
