This company is a winner! You need look no further! Oaks Home Services has been working at my condo building for the last four weeks. They have replaced all the brick and stonework in the lower courtyard. My suite overlooks the work as well as where they load and unload materials and waste. They have done a terrific job as you can see from the picture. I am especially impressed with the workmen who are all hardworking, careful, and precise. They did all the work there while working around the plantings, and cleaned up the site every afternoon. I used HomeStars to find my contractors when I owned a home. If I were a homeowner, I would hire Oaks Home Services in a heartbeat! You wont go wrong!

I chose Arby Cartage because of the impressive ratings on HomeStars ... both score and the sheer number of ratings. From the start, I know I would go with him. Unlike another company who came for a quote, Arby walked through the entire house and made notes. Asked questions too (e.g. what was to move outside and in the garage). He was so professional and respective from the start, and my communications were nswered immediately and effectively. On the day of the move, six men showed up in two trucks. Right on time. These fellows worked hard for over six hours straight. Non stop. No break. And drove straight from the one place to the other. Arby's son, Anil, was in charge. What an impressive fellow. Great manner. Knew his angles to fit things through doorways and was a strong as they come. He was happy to change locations of furniture at the new place - and even told us (when asked) which way looked better. He also had the respect of his workers. The bill? Almost half of what Company A wanted. On top of this, Arby was thoughtful enough to send a note to us after the move saying, "Welcome to the new life. Best wishes to your wife and you. Stay safe". Now how telling is that!!! The company is a 'people company' not just a business. Please, PLEASE give Arby the chance to serve you. You can not go wrong!!!

And I am another. No wonder they have won so many "Best of Awards"! 416-SO-CLEAN does it all. Immediate and superb communication. Adel and Abed are so nice and answered every question I had with confidence. The crew was extremely polite, worked hard, and took care to respect my home. On top of that, a wonderful job at an extremely fair price. Look no further. You won't be disappointed. In fact, I am having them return in January to do my carpets!

I hired Derek because of the reviews. I was not disappointed. From the initial contact with Diana in the office to the work completed by Derek and his team, this company cannot be beat! Excellent communication ... so very prompt ... terrific job and cleanup. I was so very touched when Derek came over to chat with my grandson, 8 years old. I have never seen that from anyone I have hired. I also think it important to reveal that Derek left by saying, "thank you for the business ... and my team thanks you too." Having been pleased with Lampert 15 years ago, I immediately went back to them this fall for a new toilet, 2 sink tops, and miscellaneous repairs. I did not bother looking anywhere else. Still the same ... great service, good price, and unbelievable communication. You can't ask for more than that! Tip of my hat to Arthur who made it all come together.

Look no further! Tom Rando is simply the best! Through the years, I have been present for six home inspections. This surpassed them all. Tom is organized, precise, and thorough. As he progresses through the inspection, he clearly explains what he has inspected and what he has found. Great pictures as well. And he invites questions at any time. The final report was terrific in all respects - detailed with pictures and what needs to be done. It was a nice house from appearances, but If it hadn't been for Tom's excellent work, we could easily have bought a money pit. NEVER buy a home without a good home inspection. Tom is the man to do it!

I contacted Michael to troubleshoot a faulty circuit. He personally answered the online request within 30 minutes and was here the next morning. It turned out to be more than either of us expected but Michael preseved until he found the problem. I really appreciated his determination to stay until things were right as I am sure his day got backed up as a result. Michael is congenial, respectful, and thorough. He obviously knows his stuff. This company deserves MORE THAN 10 stars! 1. Their communication is top rate. Brian is the best I have ever encountered from a business in terms of getting back to you. Constant and timely. He also visited personally to give and discuss the quote. 2. The men did a terrific job on the lawn ... worked steadily and took no break. They did it all - cut, trim, blow, and collected the clippings off the street. A thorough job. Lawn has never looked so good! Thank you Brian and team!

Needing a new stove, we went to look first at a big box store. BIG mistake! We were scared off by the salesman who was more interested in making a sale than in us. His interest was just not there - nor was the knowledge. So, I researched on line and found Canadian Appliance Source. We were welcomed immediately by Dave Thomas. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and interested in ... us! There was no pressure at all. He asked what we were looking for and recommended a brand. (He did not know that this was the same manufacturer I had been interested in from earlier research.) This was key to me because I felt he was trying to sell the best stove as opposed to any stove. He suggested a few models from which we chose the one we liked. The rest of the buying experience was straightforward. There were a few matters that warranted attention after the sale. These were done by e-mail. I was impressed not just at Dave's willingness to oblige but also at his very prompt replies to my e-mails. This convinces me even more that this store is the place to go. It is terrific! We will surely return to Dave Thomas and Canadian Appliance Source when we need another appliance.

Look no further! This is a reliable company. After another highly rated (9.6) company on HomeStars failed to even answer two inquiries from me, I tried Danny. He is a very courteous and reliable fellow who answered me right away and came at the time agreed. Great job! I'll be calling him again in two years. A client should not have to beg. Unlike the competitor, Danny wants the business and gives nothing but professional service.

He is the best! - the very pleasant, hard working, thorough and respectful crews - the care they took to preserve the outside garden and lawn - their leaving the site exactly as they found it ... including carting away the debris - the fact that the job was completed within a week of my initial enquiry - a great web site. Full marks on this company. You can not go wrong!

USE THIS COMPANY - they are terrific! I was first attracted by their HomeStars ratings and then by the great website. Even before doing the job, I was impressed with Andrew's prompt communication and by his punctuality in coming for the quote. On the day of the job, he arrived on schedule and worked diligently on my tree. Andrew did a great job - including asking if there were other branches on the tree that I would like removed as well. Thorough clean up of the site. I highly recommend Andrew. Totally professional and a real congenial fellow to boot!

I would like to commend this company and Kevin Smith. I hired Advanced Roofing almost 5 years ago to put on a new roof (3,300 sq. ft.) At that time, I had never heard of HomeStars so did not review them. A few months ago, a leak developed in my attached garage. Brian and Ivan came and spent 4 hours locating the leak and then fixing it with new shingles. I am very pleased with the fact that Advanced Roofing honours its guarantee. They were prompt, courteous and thorough. For this reason, I rate them as a 10. If I were looking to have a new roof installed, I would want a company, such as this, who stands behind their work. Having a driveway and walkway done is not an every day event. You can’t just call someone who you have always had to do a quick repair on something. This is a huge, one-time investment so you have to be careful to choose your contractor wisely. I chose Nortown Paving and I am glad I did. After learning of the company, the first thing I did was to check the Better Business Bureau (0 complaints – a good sign) and HomeStars (great reports – and no bad ones!). I also contacted a former client. I then called for a quote. Marc came, answered all my questions and produced a reasonable and competitive price. After checking out other contractors in the same way, I kept coming back to Marc and signed the contract. I am glad I did. There are several reasons why I would recommend going with Nortown Paving: - there was no pressure from Marc. He presents the information but leaves the decision to the client, - Marc is totally involved in the family business. In fact, he worked on site for both the driveway and the stone walkway, - Marc sticks to his word on timing, - the crew was efficient, friendly and respectful of my property, - Marc followed up on a minor problem and made sure it was corrected. Marc repeatedly said, “I will take care of you” and he did!

When Gus came, the first thing he did was to ask what he could do for me. After listening carefully to my response, he proceeded to inspect the house and then made recommendations on exactly what I needed. He answered my dozens of questions politely and patiently. In fact, I was so impressed with his manner and his knowledge that we drew up a contract on the spot. Further questions to Gus prior to the job were answered promptly and thoroughly. The installation went very smoothly – and Gus even showed up to see how things were going. Gary, Mike and Steve worked long and hard and did an impeccable job. Wherever they worked was treated carefully and left neat and tidy. Buying big ticket items like this can be a very anxious experience for a homeowner. Not with Atlas Care. They are so good you can relax and just let them do their job. The job will get done right! Never before have I gone with the first quote. This time I did and I am delighted.

Cil is a “keeper” for sure. There is no one like her. She transformed our 34 year old kitchen into something totally new by repainting the cabinetry and walls/ceiling. Cil is extremely thorough, does impeccable work, and adds the finishing touches over and above the contracted job to make things “just right”. As well, she has the perfect balance of offering her thoughts on how to make things better while, at the same time, following carefully her client’s wishes. Cil is reliable, shows up when she says she will, and leaves the site neat and tidy when she is finished. We would recommend Cil to anyone and would hire her again in a heartbeat. She is a true professional.
