We hired Jason to install for sheets of Porcelanosa in our ensuite shower. We paid extra for Porcelanosa to provide book-matched sheets. My husband and I were out of town during installation but our interior designer was there. After the slabs were cut on site and three of them were installed, we were contacted and told that the fourth one didn't match. When we came home, we blew up the photos of the slabs and identified that the fourth one was installed upside down. Jason agreed to make a price adjustment which satisfied us. We paid the agreed amount and were told that after all other work in the room was done, they would come back to do a final caulking. In the meantime the grout along the inside corner pulled away and left a compromised seam. We contacted Jason several times and each time he said he'd come out the following week to repair the grout and caulk if necessary. He never did and we had our contractor add grout (not a colour match). Extremely poor service. Would never recommend these guys. Unhappily, we must look at the unmatched pieces for the rest of the life of the renovation.

First Review

We chose a fireplace in the showroom and had it installed as part of a total kitchen renovation. It was very difficult dealing with Mechan to get the clearances required for our cabinetmaker to design the mantle. The fireplace was eventually installed, but because the wood floor had to go in after, two bolts were removed to allow for the flooring. When I called Mechan to tell him we were ready for them to come back and do the final adjustments of the installation, I mentioned that the caulking had been compromised in the floor installation. He told me he would charge $400 to repair it. We discussed back and forth and he agreed to time and materials. By the time the guys came out (on the same visit - final installation and caulking repair), my contractor had already replaced the caulking so there was nothing to do but reinstall two bolts. For this, he charged my credit card $250.00. There were no materials and not more than 5 minutes spent. Although we are happy with the fireplace, I would never recommend this company. The $250 felt like a slap in the face after buying a $6000 fireplace (without mantle). Terrible customer service!

Excellent service and communication from the first telephone call to the site visit for estimate, to the actual work, cleanup and followup to make sure we were happy with the job. The technicians were very friendly, knowledgeable and capable. We could not have been more pleased and would highly recommend this company.
