Gordon came very highly recommended to us by friends of ours. They pointed out that in one case they know of (a neighbour of theirs), some money was actually returned to the customer because the work was not as extensive as originally estimated. Have you ever heard of such a thing from a contractor? Anyway, our work was done as promised, in the quality, time estimated, and cost quoted. Nothing extra was charged, for doing a few extra things which he said he would do. Small bonuses, perhaps, but showed that he had pride in a comprehensive job done well. What impressed us the most was , like in almost any job, is what happened when something did not work out as planned for various reasons. When this happened to us, an entire aspect of the work was redone, which took almost a day to redo, He made sure we were completely satisfied with the work and nothing was left done below his high standards. What is perhaps most important in these kind of jobs is, what happens when something goes wrong. Gordon has reassured us by doing those things, that he is trustworthy and reassuring and will be there to stand behind his work.

Approximate cost of services:
$20,000.00

Company Response

Dr. Stern, what a kind and thoughtful review and we thank-you very, very, much. What I was unhappy about was the way the soffit vents were installed and to remedy the situation we would have to trounce over all the new insulation thereby compromising the R-value as cellulose as it is very hard to fluff back up after. You were paying for a proper job.I could not blame the men as they installed the soffit vents as shown on the packaging, however, I previously taught them a better way to install soffit vents that allows far more positive air flow to enter the attic. After we installed new soffit vents the way I had previously taught them and had completely reblown new cellulose into the attic, it became much cooler. This was a very expensive way to do business and taught the men a lesson in listening. I am sorry for the inconvience to you and your family but there is a phrase" It is not how you start that counts, but how you finish.
