I had Peter and Nick fix a previous reno error in my basement bathroom earlier this year. When the original reno was done in 2014, the framer/drywaller tightly wrapped the house's mainstack and installed a tiny access panel. The lack of proper access always bothered me. So...Peter and I spent a few mins on the phone discussing ideas/measurements etc, and a few days later he arrived with a custom panel and frame that he and Nick installed in a few hours. It was the exact fix I was after......couldn't be happier.

This review is for a main floor bathroom that Peter built us in June of this year. It was originally scheduled for April but was delayed due to Covid. The purpose of this reno for us, was to correct mistakes we had made when we previously renovated the bathroom 16 years earlier. So the plan was a better budget, better craftmanship, better products and design. This meant getting rid of the tub and going with a walk-in shower with built-in bench, linear drain with no curb, and removing the bulkhead above the shower area to have full ceiling height, a custom vanity, undermount sink, high-end fixtures, huge medicine cabinet etc. This also meant hiring Peter to do the job. We chose Peter from Aquata because he seems like a very conscientious person with a vast knowledge of his chosen specialty. I really liked the fact that he moves his tools into the house during the reno. I thought, not only is that brilliant from a speed aspect, but that’s a guy who will show up everyday and get the job done when his tools are sitting in your house. Peter, along with his very skilled assistant Nick, showed up every day with a plan. And every day they executed that plan. Renos are not without their unexpected challenges, and this project had a few. But Peter’s vast experience and ability rose to every challenge. When a challenge did arise, he would provide options and a game plan for each option. The site was always left clean at the end of the day, and any/all debris was taken away from the property the same day it was removed. I felt like we were in the most capable hands throughout the project. Quite simply, Peter builds next-level bathrooms. We’ve lived with the new bathroom now for many months, and every time I walk into the room, I see attention to detail and perfection. It is so nice to walk into a renovated space where you have spent considerable money and say “that was worth every penny”. If we ever find ourselves wanting or needing an additional bathroom renovated in the future, there would be no hesitation in hiring Peter again. Tim and Jodi Chisholm

AGM did an awesome full basement reno for my wife and I back in 2014. And we've been loving the space since then. Unfortunately, we had a little plumbing problem in late June that involved ripping up 200 sq ft of nice mint flooring so a plumbing crew could jack-hammer the floor and replace 20ft of cracked 60 year old drain pipe. And of course, when I ripped up the floor I basically wrecked all the pieces. So I contacted AGM...because they had sourced and supplied the floor back in 2014. Within fairly short order they had sourced the flooring, and arranged for a crew to come out and repair the damaged space. I was not surprised when the crew showed up at 8am sharp on the morning of the date scheduled and had the job completed within a couple of hours. This is how they operate. The show up when they say they will. They start early. They work their tails off and they get the job done. This company is completely on their game. Couldn't be happier with customer service

first time customer and very impressed discovered what I would describe as a mother raccoon and about 5 or 6 teenagers who decided that under my deck was a nice place to call home called Inline about 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and they arrived around 4pm....they quickly assessed the situation, described the process to remove and relocate all the raccoons, and over the next few days they successfully trapped, removed and relocated all 7 of them and during the process I was able to properly block their entrance point permanently and now I have my beautiful yard all back to myself from the first meeting with the tech I felt I was dealing with a very conscientious and professional operation and I'm confident that is a fact now that the job is complete highly recommend regards Tim North York

Our decorative concrete driveway and pathways are over 3 years old now and needed a reseal. Dealing with the team at Elite is always a pleasure. A quick email with an immediate response, followed by an onsite visit to inspect. Then some brief correspondence to coordinate timing so the car is off the driveway. Job was done exactly when we had agreed, and the place looks fantastic. The level of customer service the guys at Elite provide make it completely stress-free. They say they'll take care of you and they do.

I chose Delta Decks to build our project based on a personal reference, as well as all the awesome reviews from this site. And I couldn't be happier with the final result....it is EXACTLY what I had envisioned. The IPE deck and Pergola are the backyard centerpiece of an extensive outdoor reno that has taken my yard from an aging high-maintenance let down, and transformed it into a gorgeous low-maintenance oasis. I met with Alex in Sept of 2011 with my wish list and crude sketches, which he quickly turned into 3D images accompanied by the most detailed 15-page quote I've ever seen from a contractor. The scope of the project meant Delta had to remove the existing deck on an exact date in April 2012....allow 2 weeks so the foundation could be waterproofed....return on a specific date to build the deck and pergola in a timely manner so the concrete crew could then come in and do their job.....and after decorative concrete pathways and pad were poured...return once again to build the cedar shed on the newly poured pad. And that's exactly what happened. This was a project where I depended on Alex and his team to deliver as promised within timelines to accommodate other elements and they completely nailed it. Alex always returned every email, answered every question and addressed every concern. The stuff they built me....Oh My.....it's nothing short of furniture. Serge was meticulous.....here at sun-up....working until sun-down every day. His efforts to make the most intricate cuts instead of taking the easy route totally exceeded my expectations....the man is a perfectionist. The project design was executed to perfection with a 400 sq. ft 2-level deck, built in bench, planter and privacy screen.....6 railing lights and 15 step lights.....with the pergola wrapping the corner of the house and creating a beautiful entrance to the yard. Alex even supplied and coordinated the gas contractor to plumb and run a gasline for the new BBQ set up during deck construction. The last step of the project involved a custom shed design that literally appears to be part of the entire structure....and again.....executed to perfection. My former let-down of a backyard now feels like I'm chilling at a high-end Muskoka resort.....and we simultaneously created a space that is as organised and low-maintenance as it ever could be. To Alex, Serge, Max and the entire crew...you guys were awesome!!!

I chose Art Metal for this project based on all the awesome reviews from this site. And all these reviews are absolutely 100% correct. I'm actually kind of stunned at just how incredible their level of customer service is. One email through their website and I was called back within 1 hour!!! After a short conversation about the dimensions I was emailed a quote 15 minutes later. I emailed back and said you got the job and they were out at the house the next morning measuring and taking notes from pictures I had previously gathered for the design of the railings. I said I wanted a specific colour....no problem...I just had to go pick the colour and email them the paint code. I was told it would be about 6 weeks to get them built/galvanized/painted etc....and 6 weeks later I have gorgeous new railings on my porch. They are exactly as we discussed....the design, dimensions and colour are perfect. What an awesome experience. Iron railings are definitely a work of art that can only be accomplished by old-school craftsmanship. The level of talent and dedication is takes to be able to sculpt pieces of iron into something so beautiful are the kinds of things I really appreciate. I chose Elite Designed Concrete for this job based on all the awesome reviews from this site. And all these reviews are correct...these guys are amazing. The concrete work at my house was the final stage of massive outdoor reno that has completely transformed the yard from an aging high-maintenance let-down, to a spectacular low maintenance oasis. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Elite basically gave my house a facelift from the waist down. Raffy and I originally met to quote the job a year ago, and earmarked August for the start based on the anticipated completion of all the other elements involved in the project. We kept corresponding during the 12 months to give progress updates and had to make a few changes and additions to the quote as well. The job began on the exact date we had anticipated a year in advance. Raffy, Marcelo, Sebastian and the entire crew are the hardest working guys I've ever met in my life. Starting at 730am sharp and working 13 hour days consecutively for excavating and framing in blistering heat. I believe there were 7 or 8 crew members onsite the day of the pour all working meticulously together. While watching the process of putting the pattern into the concrete, you quickly realize that the crew are not just the hardest workers you've ever seen, but that they are also true artists. The meticulous effort on all of the parging alone showed without doubt that the crew are striving for perfection. And the end result is just incredible, it's absolutely beautiful. From beginning to end, whether it was locating bell and cable lines, or last minute landscaping concerns, every request was handled in stride, and every result exceeded my expectations. These guys truly take pride in the creations that they build. Thank you Raffy, Marcelo, Sebastian and the entire crew at Elite for doing such an awesome job. It turned out perfect.

Nick did a fantastic job running the gas line out to our new deck. Had to come out twice, first to run the line while the deck was being built, and then a follow-up to connect the new BBQ. Gas line install was meticulous and totally hidden from view. Nick and I discussed the long distance of the line (70 feet) upfront and Nick determined what should be the proper size of line. Very pleased that the new massive BBQ cranks up to over 700 degrees in just minutes....so Nick's call on the size of line was perfect. Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Highly recommended!!!

My wife and I are just wrapping up a kitchen reno and figured now would be a good time to get the ducts cleaned. And boy did they need it. So I simply googled duct cleaning, clicked on Paul's company, checked his HomeStars rating on here and saw all the positive reviews. One email with a follow-up voicemail and Paul immediately responded and we set a date. He showed up right on time, thoroughly explained the process, covered all flooring that needed to be, removed shoes when they should be and had the job completed in a little under 3 hours. Ducts are all squeaky clean and blowing like the wind. Hiring people to perform work on your house is always a leap of faith and dealing with Paul on this was quite simply painless. Polite, professional, thorough and conscientious. Very glad we found Paul for this project....I highly recommend him. 10+
