We hired Phong because he is very kind and has a down to earth attitude. He did an exceptional job in tuckpointing the bricks around our house. There’s a lot of other items that weren’t included in the scope of work that he himself suggested that he will complete and he did so gladly with no additional cost. He also helped us dispose of a large pile of heavy, natural stones from our flower bed which is a big such a big relief! Thank you Phong for all your help and for exceeding our expectations.

We had our maintenance appointment for our furnace and AC on September 3, 2016. The technician who came is courteous and nice but he tagged our furnace for two violations (use of street elbow and front clearance to wall is less than 24 inches. I have no issues with the tagging but would have appreciated if I will be given a quote for the work that needs to be done. I had to escalate to Enercare supervisor and call several times for a quote as again Enercare would like to charge me a $129 dollars for a quote. Another technician again came by to validate the violations but he is unable to give me a quote that day (Sep 9). A total waste of my time as I had to take a half day leave at work to be at home. I was promised a quote but I did not receive one as of this writing (Sep 14). I did receive an Enercare HomeCare Report on Sep 10 telling me that my furnace is 17 years old. I told both technicians that it is was installed in 2010. A few issues here: 1. Enercare will tag but will not give a quote/ charge for the quote - ineffiency. 2. Enercare technician is unable to do a quote during the time the tag was issued - downtime. 3. Enercare is initially charging to give a quote - poor customer service. 4. Several calls/escalation and no quote yet. 5. No report was given on the 12 point inspection - nothing at all (from first technician who did the maintenance for our furnace and AC). 6. Last but not the least. I also had my maintenance plan with Enercare in 2011 (same furnace). At that time a tag was also issued (which we addressed) but the recent two new violations was not identified at that time. I paid Enercare about $1,000 to fix that issue. Why were the two new tags not identified prior? 7. I also answered their survey week of Sep 12 and requested to be contacted - no response by phone or email as of this writing.

I called Dave initially for because one of our exterior doors' lock is stucked. I know he is busy because I always have to make an appointment with him a month prior. But knowing the necessity and urgency of the matter, he was here the following morning! He fixed everything even if I have to make another appointment for the range hood replacement. Will recommend in a heartbeat!

I paid for Home protection plan for furnace, AC and plumbing. We have a leak under the kitchen sink and they scheduled us today, Saturday between 8am-12nn. I usually do not make appointments on weekends because that's my precious time with my family. However, because it is needed, my husband said he'll just go to work after 12nn. The plumber called at 11:45am (15 mins before the 4 hour window lapse) and said that he is running late. Never heard from him after that and it is now 7:30pm. I called Direct Energy again and they said they'll find out what happened, I was on hold for more than 15mins and never heard a sorry from them. They even said that the plumber is just running late! Are you kidding me? 7 hours late? Reference# 46329.

I called Direct Energy's Home Services because we just had another clogged toilets as the house where we moved has old, non branded toilets. Steve (Technician ID# T8247) came to our rescue. He not only checked one toilet but all three. He plunged all of them and not just that. When I requested him to close the faucet going to the garage properly (I do not have the tools and it does not close properly by hand), he not only closed, he checked on it and eventually replaced it even if the service call is not for that problem. He really went the extra mile and beyond my expectation. He is very patient in explaining everything he is doing and cleaned up once he is done. Best of all, he did not charge me a single cent as it is covered in the plumbing plan we have with Direct Energy, otherwise, I would have spent close to $400 for that service. I'm glad we are with Direct Energy and I'm happier because they have a guy like Steve. Again, thank you Steve for a job well done. If I am Steve's supervisor, I will promote him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is the second time they had them in our house. We had Greensaver this time to do the Post Evaluation Home Energy Assessment. Gary was very accomodating in answering the questions I have on how to save on our energy cost. I also like that they are non profit company and yet I do not have to do any paperwork. They did everything from start to finish. This is the only winter we can turn on the heater in December. Great job Greensaver!

The previous owners of the house where we just moved has pets. I have a little baby and so we searched for a reputable carpet cleaning company. We found 416-SO-CLEAN in Homestars and is very satisfied with the work they've done. The cleaned the carpets very thoroughly and asked me to double check before they left. Our carpet looks and smells brand new. Highly recommended.

Their crew is great from start to finish. Dave provided the most reasonable quote and his crew Jeremy and Nolan did a good job on the chimney. I thought the chimney cap is not properly aligned and Dave came by to take a look. He said it was just right and extended my warranty from 5 years to 15 years to my full satisfaction. Highly recommended!

Greensaver is great from start to finish. Scheduling is very flexible and the crew is great. They covered all the furnitures, windows, counters and even doors. I am very meticulous about cleanliness but they really left our house spotless. The did the insulation really well and everyday, their supervisor will check the quality which is great. The patching of the holes is my favorite as they did it so well that I was tempted to do the re-painting ourselves. David, our main person as well as his crew is very well mannered, respectful to us and our property (even to my 4 month old baby). They actually wanted to return the furnitures in their original position EACH day so we can still use them during the night. They always think of our comfort during the duration of the 3 day insulation. They are also very hardworking people - people who takes pride in their work and in the company they work for. We are very satisfied with our experience with Greensaver. We will use them again and have already recommended them to friends and neighbors.

Tom is a good guy - very flexible and always responds promptly. He is also very good in shingle consultation (color, make). They did our roof around the end of August and I waited to write a review to see how it is. Needless to say, we had a lot of rains including the 50mm+ a couple of days ago and no leak at all. Roof looks fantastic and we have the peace of mind that it will stay the same for the years to come. His crew is also polite and cleans up really well. They left our backyard spotless. Highly recommended! Keep up the good work guys!

I had spray foam insulation done on my house where the contractors drilled holes throughout our exterior walls. Needless to say, we needed to repaint the inner wall of all exterior walls. I contacted 4 painting companies and shortlisted two companies which included Cleancut painting. I chose to go with them because I feel that Peter the painter is an honest guy and that his interest is my best interest. And I was right... they had to do a lot of sanding and Mirel was really patient and has attention to details. There were some bumps along the way but they were quick to address it. If I have concerns, Peter is quick to address and respond to it. I highly recommend them specially on color matching. We did not repaint all walls - only those exterior walls and we could not tell the difference. Our walls are brand new again. Thanks Cleancut painting! Highly Recommended!

We have a leaky tap/pipe. I called Val based on his homestars review. He was punctual, courteous and very professional. Was able to troubleshoot the issue with ease and it was found out that we had to replace the faucet. He gave us the option to replace the parts but we thought it'll be best to replace the faucet itself. Good, reliable faucet and even cheaper than those from the big retail stores. No more leaky faucet and we are happy. Highly recommended!

We recently moved to a resale house and George came to rekey all four exterior doors. The appointment was at 5pm, George came at 8pm. He tried his best to call us but our phone is not yet connected at that time. I always say that late is better than never. And because he came, we had a restful night! However, the following morning, one of the kids locked ourselves out of the master's bedroom and all the keys were on that room - called George again and he is in our front steps within 45 minutes. He even gave us a discount. Very professional! Highly recommended!

David is very professional and humble. Stands by his estimate (even though I asked him to do little extra things like hanging the wall clock and pictures. Very neat also. We'll have him back to vent the range hood outside (as soon as we had our roofing done) and to seal exterior windows (when the weather gets better).
