We saw the reviews on Homestars and decided to go with them. The prices were very decent and the people came and installed our blinds very quickly, professionally, and punctually. We were very happy with their service. One of the things that we were not too happy about was the product itself. Though we bought Hunter Douglas blinds, within a few months of using them, the strings would come apart from the piece that held it together and it would become near impossible to pull the blinds up... unfortunately, in order to get the whole thing fixed and rethread, we would have to return it to Hunter Douglas and pay for the shipping costs, which is pretty crazy for such heavy blinds. We were unaware that this lifetime warranty meant that we would have to pay for the shipping. However, we did need new knobs for our blinds, and I contacted the store - the person was extremely helpful and quick to answer. I ended up having many more knobs than i had ordered within a week of placing the order. The service at Excel was amazing and quite impressive considering we purchased these blinds over 2 years ago...
