Ali's work was sub-par for plaster repair: the one hairline crack he plastered in the ceiling is now a noticeable bulge in the ceiling (see picture). He missed one obvious crack in the hallway and I can't get him back to fix this since I paid him. He plastered cracks on walls I never asked him to do saying he was doing extra for me. Well, I had to paint the walls afterwards. He offered to quote me on painting the walls and on repairing an area of the wall where the plaster was lifted away from the lathe. I did not hire him to do the walls. He did not put up ample plastic to keep the dust down and my entire house is full of plaster dust. In fact he used my drop sheets on the floors. He is very friendly and makes up excuses for everything that was done wrong. Ali's quote was in line with 2 other quotes and I went with him because his rating on Homestars was par with others, and he showed up to quote. The job I hired him to do was to fix water marks and a couple of hairline cracks on my lathe and plaster ceiling in hallway and small room.
