RC in Maple Ridge

We discovered a wet spot on the inside of our foundation after we had removed our flooring. Papa came to evaluate the damage and cost of work, gave us a verbal quote and left it with us to decide if we wanted to go with them. We did go with them, but he re-evaluated the work required and it came to a few hundred dollars more. He honored his original quote though. The next day his crew showed up early and stayed the whole day to finish the job. They had to dig up a flower bed along with the wooden ties and they tried to replace everything as it was before. Unfortunately they are not landscapers so I had to redo the garden, but that's a small issue. They were professional and answered all my questions. They kept me in the loop when they discovered issues with the foundation and drainage. I would recommend them.

We had a different alarm company for our previous 2 homes but I quickly grew tired of their extra charges for visits caused by problems with their equipment. I met these guys at a home show in Maple Ridge before we moved to our home in Vancouver. The owner (Clay) was easy to talk to and clearly identified the advantages of his system over our current provider. The 1st visit to our home was quick and at the end we knew exactly what was going to be done - no surprises. With the installation we did run into a couple initial problems with a false alarm, but a call to the installer directly resolved it. After this was fixed, we've not had any issues with the hardware or the monitoring service. Glad we stopped using one of the 'major' companies and decided to give these guys a try. Our next home will be protected by them whenever that happens.

Moved into an older home in Vancouver, but before our insurance company would give us the best coverage we had to address our old knob and tube wiring as well as our older panel. After getting a few quotes, Houle provided us with the best solution in terms of both cost and final aesthetics. Our electrician (Joe Sakic - yes that is his real name) was easy to talk to, professional and made it clear to me what had to be done. He provided me options to make the job done faster and cheaper and was happy to answer all my questions. This job involved relocating the meter to the garage, digging a trench in the backyard and replacing the panel with a properly sized one. Getting the right company for this type of work is very important and although it may have been more expensive than other companies, I have peace of mind that the work was done to code or better and that I don't have to worry about it again.

It was getting colder and 3 months into our new older home, we started to use our furnace. It was time to replace it as it was leaking gas. Coleman Heating (through a Costco promotion) came in with a full crew and did the job faster than originally stated. Some of the guys were a bit young but they were professional and did a great job. They cleaned up all the mess they made and made sure all my questions were answered before they left. Very happy with the work.

Both our kitchens were improperly renovated before we moved in. The guys at KC were professional and fast and cleaned up after their mess. They stuck to their quote with no major surprises along the way. When they did run into a problem, it was resolved by getting another master plumber over quickly to get his opinion. This gave me more peace of mind. Overall very satisfied with their work.

I've spent lots of time in Urban Barn. No other store like it is closer to my taste than UB. I wish they would bring back the warehouse sales, but that won't stop me from shopping there. The sofa we got, like most of their lineup, was available in an endless number of fabrics. There's something for everybody. It arrived more than 2 1/2 weeks earlier than expected. Friendly staff, too.

I'm only a beginner handyman and wanted to start putting together my workshop in our house we just moved into. This table saw has a lot of good features and was on sale. Plus Sears often has extra $10 or $20 discounts on weekends which I also took advantage of. Altogether I felt got a good deal. Sales staff in hardware are very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
