Called this company to resolve two separate issues in two condo units (buildings are across from each other). Julie picked up the phone and explained and agreed that due to the proximity of the two units in two separate buildings, she wouldn't charge me twice for the $203 diagnostic fee but rather, in her words 'keep the clock running'. Thereafter, the fee is $51/30 minutes. Both tenants kept me in the loop on the arrival and departure of the plumber. First job was completed within the hour. Second job was completed within 50 minutes. That evening, I got an invoice for: 1st job $305 + tax for first job (overcharged) 2nd job $165 + tax (overcharged) There are other parts fee totaling $115 + tax, which I am not disputing. If you do the math, the company charged me 2 hours for the first job (when the work was completed within 1 hour) and charged me the 5/6 of the full diagnostic fee. instead of 'keeping the clock running' at the rate of $51/hour. After seeing the invoice, I immediately called back the next day with an email follow up. Julie answered the phone and said she will raise it with the manager to resolve. That was Jan 6, 2023. Today as of writing it is Jan 25, 2023. I have yet to see or hear a reply from New Water Plumbing. I have since raised a dispute with my credit card company. Let's see if a credit card company will standup for consumer or will continue to allow company like New Water Plumbing continue to trick consumer in paying more without first seeking consent.
