This is the update for my driveway/frontsteps interlocking contracted with In-Home-Services that was done back in Sept. 2009 which cost $6000. It was an extremely bad experience (bad customer service/poor quality) when the good was done. A year later, the driveway started sinking, and the front steps started shifting. Called the service number many times never got any response (although it is written 2 years warranty in the contract). Last call I had and the lady who answered the phone told me it was another company which I couldn't recognize. I think this company has changed its name for its bad reputation. Anyway, I had to hire another contractor to fix the interlocking problems that was done less than 2 years.

My neighbour contracted with Dave the owner to build a patio in his backyard. To allow better access to his backyard, I agreed to also contract with Dave and to split the cost of laying paving stone between the 2 houses. The work done is absolutely horrendous. It altered the drainage from my backyard which now gets flooded with each rainfall. All the water from between the 2 houses runs against my house and down my driveway (instead of the grass). The driveway will be iced over in the winter. Dave is rude and insulting to his customers. He has never returned a call. Ice formation on the driveway in the winter will result in a dangerous situation. All in all this is the worst contractor I have ever dealt with

in home services is the worst company i have ever deal in my life. They take advance right away but never return any calls or come on time. I left more than 30 msgs on DAVE's cell and never return a call. They came 2 months after the initial scheduled date. UNPROFESSIONAL and BAD service i have ever seen in my life. Stone work is not good at all.

Last year, 2010, I had a driveway interlock, a side walkway and backyard patio installed by In Home Services. The experience was aweful. It started when I received a call prior to the work being completed by Dave . I was asked if I wanted a 'design' in the work that was to be completed. I responded sure, as they had experience. Well, what I got was a totally different stone then what I selected, as well as hugh 'gaps' between the interlock stones. I stated my dissatisfaction but as the work had been completed in one day (what a rush job, no care in workmanship), they didn't bother doing anything. In the contract it stated the work was guaranteed and they would return to fix any shifted stones in the first year. I called several times this spring 2011, left voice messages, even text messages and NO RESPONSE! Well, my driveway is now sunk, i have hugh gaps in the interlock and after spending a ton of money I am hopeless that I will ever get it fixed.

Last year In july I had contract with this company to get my patio and walk way done. We agreed upon certain service with their sales person. First they show up late than the commited date. Second they were so rude and keep on fighting with us for not to do the work as what we decided. On top of that the work quality is so poor within 2 months all the stones are falling a part. My driway was un even in month after the work done. While they were working they wanted to finish my job just for sake of doing as inthe same time they had got very big contract from some where else. I almost had left message with their office not less than 20 times including yesterday. I have not heard from any one. The work is so poor that it has become unsafe for my kids go go on patio. I have never seen such a poor customer service. If I would not get any reply in positive manner by end of this week I am thinking to get support from consumer society.

Here is the final update: This company is become very big with lots of staffs and heavy equipments so any order should wait for at-least 2-3 months. Even though they say they will do in few weeks they actually show-up after 2 months. Calling customer service is no avail as they just pass the message to Dave. You don't expect reply / response from Customer Service. Once they show-up they will finish the job. I agree with the comments that the staffs,Dave and Ray are very nice guys. I think they are now more responsive as they get more negative feed-back (like this site) from the customers. They are hard working people so we don't want to hurt their business. I hope they will be more communicating with the frustrating customers as they paid advance but no hints when they will start the job.

in home swrvices is one of the best companies of interlocking. The way this company works is exelent and very profecional and the prices are really good . Everysingle worker in this company is really good. Thanks dave for the exelent work that u and ur workers do everyday

I got a advertizement in the news lapped it had pitchures and 499 sq ft soil was very intreasted so I called the lady awancerd in home services I asked about booking an appointment the girl said Dave the owner will call to book within 10 minuts Dave called we book a time Dave comes out gives us a qwote Dave showed us lots of shapes designs and colors do.to.his nolageashrd and competetave price we gave Dave the go and signed with him they where here within two weeks from signing contract that started on Monday and finished on wensday there was etleast 15 workers they cleaned and washed polymeric sand. We are very satasfied and we refers this company to all of our veranda thanks

I saw this site AFTER I signed a contract and began to worry! My husband and I though we would never see these guys again but when I made a call to Harris our salesman, he got back to us right away. I didn't mention that I read the reviews on this site just to see what they would do. Well, to our surprise, they came 1 day late, but then again it was raining for a few days before and we were very shocked how fast everything was done. We thought this would be a 1 week job but they came at 7am sharp and were done everything by 6pm! The workers are extremely nice and paid attention to detail. Our whole street was full of big trucks and machines and my children where excited to watch. The owner David was on his hands and knees the whole time laying our custom design pattern of stones. He was very pleasant and funny as where his staff! They really do take pride in their work and although we had a few lower quotes (the lower quotes were going to take 5-7 days to finish our project) and many higher quotes, we still went with them as our salesman explained that they use all new and the best materials. Overall we were quite impressed with everything, it turned out better than we expected. As we went to pay David, we did finally mention that we were concerned with these bad reviews but he explained that out of 400+ projects they do each season, there is always a few customers that want to change the contract or ask for extras for free and get upset when they dont get their way. I guess with the few only bad reviews and the many projects they do, the percentage of people complaining is very low. So I thought I wold take the time to give our opinion, as we have no complaints whatsoever. We would not hesitate to refer Inhome Services to anyone!
