    Chimney Cleaning

    A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning called the day before the appointment to confirm and Ryan showed up on time. He did the cleaning in a reasonable time and left the area worked in better condition than before the appointment. A pleasant professional and the cost was less than some of their competitors

    Chimney Cleaning

    I have tried other chimney cleaning services over the last 40 years of home ownership. I am in North York and burn wood in two air tight stoves/inserts. A-1 Chimney Service has always surpassed my expectations. They have and continue to be courteous, prompt, fair in price and professional in their work. I highly recommend them.

    Amazing chimney

    Fantastic service from start to finish! I got a next day appointment and Nathan showed up exactly on time. He did a thorough job, kept everything clean and offered some great advice for having fires and ongoing care. He was extremely honest and explained that other companies can sometimes get you to unnecessary work when everything is actually in good condition. Will definitely be using A1 for our yearly inspection and cleaning!

    Fireplace Cleaning

    We made an appointment with A1 Chimney. The firm called in advance to confirm appointment. The serviceman, Odene, was courteous, pleasant and worked efficiently. He cleaned two fireplaces in a professional manner. We were pleased with his work and would recommend A1 Chimney to other homeowners.

    Chimney Cleaning and Inspection

    It was a pleasure to deal with A1. Their rate was fair and their crew was punctual, friendly and professional. We are ready to use our fireplace in the winter. Strongly recommended.

    Water Heater Problems

    Reliance Water heater repair man, red tagged our gas water heater because they said we had a blocked chimney. Owen the office manager and senior tech came to my mother-in-law home and inspected the whole exhaust system and he determine that there was no blockage. My mother-in-law was without hot water for one week by this time. To insure we had no problem with the Reliance techie, he gave us his personal contact info, so that we could have Reliance contact him on the weekend. This company clearly goes the extra mile and has made a customer for life.

    New home chimney cleaning & inspection

    I've had A1 perform a chimney inspection and cleaning upon buying our house, and also had them return a second time the following season to inspect and install a chimney cap. Super friendly, good communication, clean work, and helpful (they identified some issues with the chimney brick that I never would have spotted myself, and have given me some tips on using my very very old fireplace safely). Would recommend and will contact them again as needed.

    Chimney leaking

    We had water dripping down from our Chimney. Owen was quick to inform us that rooftop dampers generally don't leak. He checked the inside of the firebox and flue and informed us about code and how we were in good shape. He then checked the damper and advised us it wasn't the best damper but would do the job. He lubricated the hinges and caucked all around the cap where the damper closed. He even filled a few cracks in the top of the chimney too. Owen was a really great guy, he explained what it would cost if we ever had to replace the damper as well. I wouldn't hesitate to call them if the time comes to change it. I do use them for chimney sweeping annually. All this consultation and help and Owen didn't even charge us. This company knows how to treat customers.

    Fantastic chimney repair experience

    I had a fantastic experience today with Owen repairing our chimney (both for a wood-burning fireplace and a gas water heater). Our exterior flue liner had fallen down inside the chimney, Owen quickly assessed the needed repairs and showed me photos to explain what he would be doing. He was very professional, kept me informed, answered all of the questions I had and cleaned the work area fully before leaving. The cost was exactly as quoted over the phone, even with what I think was a bit of extra effort to extract the fallen liner from inside the chimney. Couldn't be more pleased with today's repair, I'll be sure to use and refer others to A-1 Quality Chimney for any future chimney needs.

    Chimney cleaning and pop-up cap repair

    Terrific work and great customer service. They are fast, efficient and leave your home tidy. Owen repaired the clasp for the pop-up cap chain as part of their ongoing service.
