    New home chimney cleaning & inspection

    I've had A1 perform a chimney inspection and cleaning upon buying our house, and also had them return a second time the following season to inspect and install a chimney cap. Super friendly, good communication, clean work, and helpful (they identified some issues with the chimney brick that I never would have spotted myself, and have given me some tips on using my very very old fireplace safely). Would recommend and will contact them again as needed.

    Chimney leaking

    We had water dripping down from our Chimney. Owen was quick to inform us that rooftop dampers generally don't leak. He checked the inside of the firebox and flue and informed us about code and how we were in good shape. He then checked the damper and advised us it wasn't the best damper but would do the job. He lubricated the hinges and caucked all around the cap where the damper closed. He even filled a few cracks in the top of the chimney too. Owen was a really great guy, he explained what it would cost if we ever had to replace the damper as well. I wouldn't hesitate to call them if the time comes to change it. I do use them for chimney sweeping annually. All this consultation and help and Owen didn't even charge us. This company knows how to treat customers.

    Fantastic chimney repair experience

    I had a fantastic experience today with Owen repairing our chimney (both for a wood-burning fireplace and a gas water heater). Our exterior flue liner had fallen down inside the chimney, Owen quickly assessed the needed repairs and showed me photos to explain what he would be doing. He was very professional, kept me informed, answered all of the questions I had and cleaned the work area fully before leaving. The cost was exactly as quoted over the phone, even with what I think was a bit of extra effort to extract the fallen liner from inside the chimney. Couldn't be more pleased with today's repair, I'll be sure to use and refer others to A-1 Quality Chimney for any future chimney needs.

    Chimney cleaning and pop-up cap repair

    Terrific work and great customer service. They are fast, efficient and leave your home tidy. Owen repaired the clasp for the pop-up cap chain as part of their ongoing service.

    removal of squirrel nests in chimney, new screens and cap on chimney, filling of gaps and cracks in the mortar

    Zach did a superb job. He carried out the tasks in a professional way, coping with some surprises along the way (2 nests, not one) , cleaning up the debris in the fireplace carefully. Not many chimney companies will do squirrel removal as well as masonry and screening work. I am grateful this company was up the task.

    Awesome

    Great company! I’ve been using them for 7 years and the guys are great. Had Zach come out this time and he was super nice, knowledgeable and fast, great guy!

    Chimney cleaning and WETT technician report (for insurance)

    Honestly one of the best customer experiences I've had in recent memory! Kelley was highly efficient an professional whenever we communicated (both via email and by phone). I had a slew of questions and some unique requirements given that we had just moved into the house. He was accommodating, patient and made sure we had everything we needed. The technicians that visited our home were friendly and very tidy and they got the job done! If you need your chimney serviced, make this your first call.

    Chimney Sweep

    Great service! Owen was very informative in helping me with the damper and did a great job in a timely manner. Would use this company again and ask for Owen.

    Service

    My property manager arranged to have A1 Quality Chimney clean my antique wood stove. They arrived on time, as scheduled to perform the maintenance. Unfortunately, there was damage to the pipe and they were unable to clean it on site. Owen went above and beyond to source the replacement part (quickly) to fix the issue. He easily arranged another visit with me to replace the part and clean. Communication was great which allowed me to plan my day. He called 2 hours before confirming his ETA and arrived right on time. Couldn't be happier with the service, advice and expertise of Owen. I normally don't write reviews but with such a great experience I would highly recommend this company!

    Chimney Cap Replacement

    Extremely impressed with the service from Owen and his associate Zach. They quickly assessed the work needed, confirmed the price AND got the work completed. In and out within less than an hour, all quality work. Definitely recommend this team to address your chimney needs!
