    Older home bathroom renovation

    We hired Avonlea after checking these Homestars reviews and getting two similar competing quotes, due in part to a scheduling fit but also to the comfort level we got after speaking with John. Our old, tired bathroom needed replacing as the glaze had wore off the old porcelain tub, and so we had Avonlea completely gut, down to the studs, and rebuild. We were hoping to hang the toilet tank in wall, and they gave it a try but the stack was in the way. They did hang the vanity for us, and installed the medicine cabinet in wall. Any issues along the way were dealt with professionally and without fuss. The work was completely quickly and everything kept clean and tidied up at the end of each workday. Olimpio did all the work - demolition, framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, tiling etc. Very impressive and well done. We are quite pleased with the result and the way the job was handled and do not hesitate to recommend Avonlea for a bathroom renovation.

    Great customer service and support

    I had my kitchen renovated by Avonlea approx. 12+ years ago. The installation was hassle free and flawless. We went on to recommend two friends that had their bathrooms completely renovated by them and they had the same experience. Great team of professional guys. My kitchen looks as new today as the day it was installed, but on Monday one of my pullout cupboards came off a glide and was hanging crooked. I called Avonlea to see if they could repair at my cost. The kitchen is 12 years old!!! One of the owners called me back on Tuesday and this morning he came by with one of his tradesmen and repaired. During these crazy renovation times I would bet most people won't even receive a call back from a contractor for new business, let alone have one respond and action on their product installation from 12 years ago. Oh yeah....he wouldn't take any money. There is a reason this company has been in business so long and their customer service is certainly not the norm and should be applauded.     Bathroom Gut and Rebuild

    Many thanks to John and team for making the bathroom renovation a pleasure. I had called around, as one should, and immediately found Avonlea Kitchen and Bathroom to be reasonably priced and knowledgeable. John assisted us with courtesy and professionalism. I never imagined the process would have been so easy. The finished product is better than anything I had expected too. Beautiful craftsmanship through and through. We are totally satisfied with our bathroom. John, I have said before and I do not mind repeating it here I think you have the best business model in your industry and the proof is in the win-win scenario you are able to provide. I highly recommend Avonlea Kitchen and Bathroom and when the time comes I will definitely be calling on Avonlea Kitchen and Bathroom to rebuild my kitchen. All the best

    Bathroom Reno

    Avonlea recently renovated my four piece washroom. They were extremely professional from beginning to end. John walked us through the quote and was great at helping is work through our options. Gabriel did the actual work, and he took excellent care to make sure every detail was executed exactly how we wanted. He even installed a light twice after a miscommunication on our part. We have gotten a Ton of compliments on it and we couldn't be happier.

    bathroom reno

    John and his team were a great example of how a reno should go. During the initial quote, he took some extra time to check in the bsmt if we had galvanized pipes (which would increase our cost). His knowledge and experience was clearly apparent in our conversations. He is a direct communicator who doesn't overpromise and has high regard for his staff and their skill set. I felt comfortable in trusting the staff to their work as there was regular communication and the work quality was easily discernable. The main staff (Olympio and Calin) were very skilled, efficient, and respectful workers. They kept to their proposed timelines. John was prompt in answering any of my questions via email throughout the process. I would rehire Avonlea again as they made this process comfortable and safe, especially for a homeowner with a first-time reno.

    Old Downtown Toronto Home - Full Bathroom Renovation

    John and his team are exceptional. We are doing a full house renovation and have worked with many contractors, I can safely say that John is the best. When John first came to look at the house to provide a quote he answered all our questions and we were reassured that he was happy to work under permits – we had found others that were trying to tell us we did not need them. After an initial meeting with John we went away and purchased all our bathroom items, John gave us great recommendations for where to start. When the work began we were so impressed, they were quick, efficient and tidy. Gabriel did the work on our bathroom and I can’t speak highly enough about this man. My husband is a very picky detailed engineer and Gabriel made sure he always checked in with him before starting any fine work, my husband loved the solutions Gabriel proposed and completely trusted him. We had a lengthy delay on the arrival of our vanity (a Kohler issue), however John was patient and came back to finish the work two months later after the vanity arrived. I really don’t think we are the easiest couple to work with given our constant questions and high expectations but John was fabulous. I was concerned about whether I would truly get the value out of paying extra to get experts in but it was money very well spent. Highly recommended.

    Old East York Bathroom Full Reno

    John & his team were very easy to work with. The quote was provided without delay, the work was scheduled and began exactly as planned and completed a couple of days ahead of scheduled complete time. The team was very well organized and friendly and the end result - which was a full new tub, shower, floor, toilet, vanity for a small East York upstairs bath re-do - was perfect.

    Kitchen Renovation

    Avonlea renovated my bathroom last year, so I was confident having them back to do a complete reno of my kitchen. Once again, they did an excellent job, and I’m really pleased with the results. They take a lot of the stress out of renovations because they’re a very professional and trustworthy company. John answered every email query very quickly and was a helpful resource who found me a great deal on countertops. Gabriel did stellar work and cleaned up at the end of every day. And Dominic was great at finding solutions to the odd problems that go with renovating an old house. All in all, they’re an excellent team, so I can strongly recommend them.

    Bathroom Reno East York

    John, Olympio and the entire team at Avonlea did an exceptional job with our small bathroom renovation. From the beginning John was an excellent communicator (one of the reasons we chose Avonlea). The project was completed on time and on budget. We were highly appreciative that John never tried to "up sell" us and in fact talked us out of some ideas that would have put us over budget and been of little value in the long run. We are so pleased with the final result and will not hesitate to refer friends to Avonlea. It's worth noting too that their experience (and history in East York in particular) gave us great comfort that they had seen all possible "worst-case scenarios" before tearing out the old bathroom and confidence that they would be able to deal with anything unexpected that came up. Finally, I'd like to mention that we were highly impressed with the tidy work site they left everyday; very professional.

    Bathroom & Kitchen

    We hired Avonlea on a recommendation from a friend (did their bathroom & kitchen) and reading other reviews about this company. We met with John to discuss the project, length, crew, materials and cost. Project was done on time, within budget and both rooms look fantastic. One of the small things I really like about these guys was that they cleaned up the mess each and every day before they left. Nice touch from a quality firm. Would highly recommended this company if you want your project done correctly.
