    Kitchen Renovation/ Built in Office

Canlik has successfully completed 2 projects for us - renovation of our kitchen and design and construction of a built-in office. In both cases, Canlik was able to schedule installation to meet our needs. We weren't disrupted for weeks on end as we have witnessed with friends and neighbours, with other renovators. Canlik was well-organized to avoid any downtime amongst tradespeople. Both projects were completed on time and within budget. Their tradespeople were always well-briefed and always knew when they arrived, what was expected. They were very dedicated to the project and set high standards of workmanship throughout their part of the project. The level of finish was excellent. Victor and his team were able to problem solve around our existing greenhouse windows. Our windows are now surrounded with tile and granite ledges - beautifully framing our orchid collection. We have 2 previous kitchen renovations and collectively we have lead the building/ renovations of 11 corporate test kitchens. None of the companies we have worked with in the past compare as favourably as Canlik Kitchens.

    Replaced Counter & Sink

I was really happy with Canlik's work. They installed the products I chose in a timely and professional manner. The sink was also replaced. They did the plumbing as well and I was very satisfied with the end result. People have commented on the work saying it was a job well done!

    Kitchen renovation

Amazing company, provided very sound advice, resonably priced products, salesmans not pushy, work well within your price range and your timeline. Would recommend strongly and will use them again.

    Kitchen refacing

I'm sorry to say that our experience with Canlik was totally unsatisfactory. After two in-home sessions to measure all aspects of the job and barely two days after getting a tentative date, we were told that the contracted price would have to be adjusted upward by $240. In my view, this is not how to conduct business once a contract has been signed and a down payment accepted. Even more frustrating was their totally inflexible attitude, no reasonable options were offered. So after weeks of discussion, selection, and measurements we were left to start the process all over again. Just a warning for other would be consumers ... a penalty clause for non-completion would have been valuable in this case!

    Answer from pro:

We welcome comments but wish to be treated fairly & responsibly. It is business norm that additional items lead to additional charges. Unfortunately, not every customer is happy with this widely accepted industrial practice. Let's review this case with a list of facts, not personal opinions: (1)The additional item mentioned was, agreed by both parties, NOT in the contract. (2)The charge of the additional item was lower than the market price. (3) Customer initiated the cancellation of contract during additional item price negotiation, not Canlik. (4) Customer received 100% refund of deposit the next day of cancellation. (5) Customer received the same prompt &amp polite customer service before and after the incident.(6) Canlik paid for all costs involved and customer did not pay one penny out of it. (7) The job has never been started, customer have no ground to judge the workmanship, product quality, project co-ordination ability, customer services, etc. To sum up, given the fact that the customer had not paid one penny in the whole situation, he had zero lost. It was customer's decision to cancel the contract, it was not a non-completion as stated. The job has never been started. It is irresponsible behavour to put up rating based on &quotwhat he believes&quot the result would have been. If the customer can find a better deal and a better company to achieve his renovation goal, we honestly do not know what he is frustrating about? Why he use this review to destroy the reputation of a company that he never lost a penny to, but rather, as he mentioned, reveived hours of free consultation and services from?
