Thank you for this winter job. Many people aren't aware that most pruning and trimming jobs can be performed during the winter months at substantially reduced rates. The branches aren't obscured by leaves, allowing a better view of the tree, the ground is frozen, reducing the chance of sod or flower damage and the tree gets a fresh start, right from spring. Hi Lorry, The Manitoba maple tree in the backyard has been reborn! The lower branches which were broken and stubbed have all been trimmed away. The overhanging branches which were growing over your neighbour garage and threatening the garden area have been removed. We cleared out the center of the tree to remove water-sprout (sucker) growth and rubbing and duplicate branches. This will provide a much improved airflow through the tree which will help it resist strong wind gusts, and prevent limbs fron breaking. It was a good idea to cut back the branches which were growing over the children's swing-set and the long heavy branches growing over the deck towards the house. Overall, the tree is much healthier and safer to be underneath. Your neighbor was very pleased with our work also and has hired us to prune their trees as well. Thanks for the review Shane. I hate to bug my customers for a review so I seldom ask, but It's really nice when they come unexpectedly. I'm glad we could revisit your property again to clean up the deadwood out of that front tree before it hurt somebody. It was nice to help your mother in law at her house also, while we were close by. Even though the tree was thin, it was tall enough to strike the house if it toppled suddenly.
