    Home Inspection

    This is the 3rd time we have hired Classic Home Inspections (my 2 earlier reviews go in to much more detail, so I will spare you here). Once again Brent was excellent and delivered exactly what we have come to except from him. This is the 2nd time this spring he was willing to travel north from the GTA (4 hrs!) to inspect a house for us. He was on time, professional, and very thorough. If we ever need, we will hire him again. We will also continue to recommend him widely!

    Home Inspection

    I seen the great reviews that Brent had on HomeStars.com so I emailed him and he was very helpful and quick to respond. I was very pleased with the cost of the inspection and reviews so we decided to go with him. He was on time, very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He even quickly went through how to run the pool (since we have never had one) so he went above his job.

    Home inspection

    Called Brent at Classic Home Inspections to do an inspection on a bungalow. He contacted me promptly and we met him at the house on the Sunday. He was punctual, polite, approachable and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions, and we were then able to make a list of all the things that we need to do when we take possession - and in what order. Also followed up with me when I asked him a couple of questions. Thank you Brent.

    Home Inspection

    I found out about Classic Home Inspections after reading some reviews here on HomeStars.ca and being a first time home-buyer I wanted to go with someone reputable, and someone who others have trusted with their home. I came across Brent's reviews and read the comments, even replies that he had to some clients (which for me shows a vested interest in what he does and the satisfaction of his clients), so I gave him a call. Within a few days, Brent was able to visit my new home and start his inspection. The inspection itself went great! Brent was there for about 3 hours as he mentioned he would be in order to do a thorough inspection. He allowed me to shadow him, ask him questions - no matter how simple they may have been. My father came along and we all know how "involved" they can be, Brent handled it with ease. He explained things he was looking for, what he normally sees, what he recommends and what he doesn't recommend, even money saving tips, it was a wonderful experience. After the home inspection we received a binder with all his comments, and within 24hours we had an album sent to us via email with all the pictures he took that we could download and keep for reference. He even let us know that if we ever had any questions about the home whether it be 2 months, 2 years or 10 years down the road, call him - a little reassurance in that regard goes a long way in my books, its not a transaction, its about building a relationship. Overall, as a first time home buyer doing my first home inspection, I don't think I could have asked for it to go any better, thanks for everything Brent!

Are you kidding me, there's nothing wrong with parents wanting the best for their kids and I totally understand where they are coming from. He wasn't even bad at all!     Home Inspection

    Alan did an amazing job with our home inspection. His technical expertise coupled with his attention to detail taught us a lot as he explained everything in a way we could understand. I would highly recomend Alan to anyone in need of a home inspector.

    Home Inspection

    I highly recommend Classic Home Inspections. The house we were looking at already had a pre-sale inspection done by another company. We could have gone with that or used the same company to give us a walk-through using the same report, thus saving money. We decided to go with our own independent inspection and are very glad that we did. Brent was punctual and after inspecting the house, took his time to go through everything with me and my wife. He then pointed out that there was some mould in the attic which was a show-stopper for us. The other report conveniently missed this and covered themselves by stating that they don't look for things like mould. As Brent said, you may not look for it but when is right there in front of you, you should point it out. The owners agreed to remove the mould and fix the problem that was causing it (which Brent identified) at their expense. Brent then went back out to inspect the fixes on a Sunday evening and at no extra cost to us!! Looking to purchase a house? Get Brent to inspect it.

Ah to go with the sellers pre-listing report...always a tricky one to answer! I've seen many good ones and I've seen many that were a joke. I wouldn't say this one was a joke, but it was done by a large company that only employs engineers to do the inspections, that was inexcusable in my books. When I went into the attic space there is no way the inspector could have missed it. I hate bashing any competition, but really?     Home Inspection

    Brent did an excellent and thorough home inspection on a home that we were finalizing the sale of. He took the time to review all information with us and was very informative. He even went on the roof and in the attic and was able to identify issues that assisted us in finalizing the purchase of the home. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a home inspection done. The price was also very reasonable, we got more than what we paid for. He is also always very prompt in getting back to you if you need anything.

    Pre-purchase home inspection

    Brent from Classic Home Inspections did a fantastic job. He inspected 30 years old house that we were going to buy. He went methodically from the basement to the roof (yes, climbed up the roof and found problems there that would never be found with binoculars). Warning: the list of issues might by longer that you expected.

    Home Inspection

    Brent from Classic Home Inspections has been a great help to us while deciding whether to buy an almost 100 year old home. He was able to find and point out the things that make the house a sturdy home with good "bones" (cinder block foundation with no cracks, two layers of brick etc...), and point out things that need prompt attention (roof, electrics, waterproofing basement, etc...). While doing his very thorough inspection (which included over 75 photos for us to keep) he was more than happy to have my husband and I by his side so that he could explain what he was looking for and give opinions on why some things may be the way the are. Once he was done he spent a lot of time with us just talking about the house. Its apparent that he not only loves what he does, but is very knowledgeable in his field. Hopefully we wont need to buy another house for write some time, but if that time comes we will definitely give him a call!

    Home Inspection

    This is the 2nd time we have used Classic Home Inspections. I contacted Brent again, really almost jokingly, to see if he would drive 4hr out of the GTA to do an inspection, and he didn’t hesitate (and it was a Saturday)! The house was a challenging one and we wanted an inspection before considering making an offer (lakefront and a high local water table; no central heating), and Brent was exceptionally thorough overall, and in particular to check for evidence of leakage in the basement. He spent about 4hr for the inspection of this relatively small house. He got on the roof and in the attic and went in all outbuildings (including a frozen-shut dilapidated boathouse that took some time), took lots of pictures that correspond to his written report (and they were available to us early the next morning online), and was more than happy to walk me through what he was doing in real time. He is very experienced and sharp and he is also a very pleasant, professional, and friendly person to work with. The plethora of top-notch Homestars reviews are in line with our personal experience.. Brent and Classic Home Inspections are absolutely excellent!
