I try and make the inspection process a little more interesting by showing people and explaining things. It was great to see you involved with the inspection. Some people just want to go sit on the couch while I inspect the home, and that's fine too, but I figure it's a lot more interesting when we both go through the home, this way I can explain things to people as they usually have questions when they see something. People spend a lot of money on homes, 2. People pay me a lot of money to give them answers about that home, 3. They need to understand the home they have just purchased inside out. Thank you so much for the kind words and review Shane! I truly appreciate it! As I was telling you at the inspection, new homes are funny, I simply never know what to expect. It's just amazing what the builder will forget to do, or the excuses they will make up to try and defend themselves for sloppiness. Better yet, is how the heck did certain things even pass inspection by the site supervisor/ city inspector? You are right, it's great news when a new home has minimal wrong with it like yours! People are always so nervous on their first home purchase (yes, we all are), and first time homebuyers seem to have this expectation of something majorly wrong with the home. Every issue that I come across within a home I like to use layman’s terms to keep it simple and to ensure that everyone knows exactly what I am talking about. You are buying a home, I need for you to totally understand everything!!! Impressing people with all the home inspector lingo is not my goal, having people understand the home is ... They are either well done, or poorly done where they did it just to sell a home quickly ("Lipstick", as we call it)I think overall they did a good job. There definitely some interesting things done, but overall pretty good. You guys should be quite happy with your purchase. When makes it even better is that the current homeowner was more than willing to fix all of the issues that I had mentioned in the report. That shows class. When the homeowners become defensive, to me that always raises some red flags and it doesn't make for an easy transaction. It's great when I can show people a thing or two about the home with things they didn't know, more importantly; have them understand the home a little more. Thank you so much for the kind words and review Sabina! I truly appreciate it. I am glad that you were happy with the inspection. I have no idea why the homeowners were being difficult. I am always under the assumption that there is something to hide or they came across something and are trying to fix it before I get there. No, not always, but it always seems that is the reason. As far as "tagging along", nope, I love when people do. I always have people ask me, “do mind if I come to the inspection" ...my response, "of course!" I much prefer it when the homebuyer is present. Secondly, I like it when people "tag along", this when people totally understand the home, nothing gets overlooked, and people tend to ask more questions as they are seeing exactly what the issue is. This is good for me and you! Again, thank you so much for the review and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!

Oh my my Tim! This is an interesting one! I did not expect this at all. Thank you so much! You know Tim, it's great to work as a team with people. Especially when we are both on the same page. You want what is best for you client, a nice home. I want what is best for you client, a home that they completely understand, inside out. I have "killed deals" for you. Many realtors would throw up their arms and downplay issues, as if the issues are no big deal. Yet you and your clients get right involved. You all take complete interest with the inspection and get right into it. When issues arise, you let me speak freely, not interrupt me and make out as if something is not a big deal, and that I thank you for. In the end, your clients seem to be happy with the inspection (yes, even the deals that don't go through). Thanks again Tim!

You should be quite happy with your purchase. It is not always "good news" when I am done with an inspection. In many cases, people felt they knew the home well, and that "there are no real problems". I show up, inspect the home, and find a bunch of problems!
