    Home Inspection

    Brent did a great job during the inspection of a home we were purchasing in Oakville. He was very thorough, took his time, and was very diligent in following up with any questions we had. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and detail-oriented home inspector. Thanks Brent!

    Home Inspection

    Brent did a great job. Right off the bat when I called him I knew I could trust him. He knew his stuff on the phone and quickly made me feel comfortable with him. Any question I asked he was able to give a well thought out response quickly. The inspection process went very well, he took us through all parts of the house, carefully pointing out small areas of improvement that we should focus on after we move in, possible risks and mitigating steps we should take to reduce the risks. When the inspection was done, he again walked us through his findings making sure that we were comfortable with his findings. He also promised to make himself available at any time in the future for questions. For anyone buying a home and especially for first time buyers like myself, I highly recommend Brent.

    Home Inspection

    After reading the reviews here, I decided to hire Brent to inspect the house my husband and I just bought (conditioned on inspection). I was nervous going in, as friends had told me from their own experience that "inspections are a waste of money - the inspector just glances at things and hedges every opinion". Well, clearly they didn't have Brent as their inspector because he was thorough, my husband and I learned about our home, and we can say only good things about the experience. He returned my call promptly, arranged to come by the next day (very short notice), arrived early and got straight to work, sat down and explained things patiently to us when he was finished, answered our questions throughout with good humor, and uploaded pictures from the inspection that same day so we could have access to them right away. In addition, when I emailed him follow-up questions, he replied quickly and responsively. And all this at a competitive price. We're very satisfied customers and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Unfortunately, the home inspection industry is not taken very seriously. The industry as a whole is a mess. I've seen many different reports from other inspectors and think to myself, "are they for real" Better yet, people will tell me what their home inspector didn't do and what a rush job it was, and I think to myself "these guys consider themselves home inspectors?"     single detached home inspection

    on time - in fact early (A+) courteous (A+) dressed appropriately - workwear, safety boots, mask (A+) tools availability (A+) knowledgeable (A-) documentations (B+) patience (A+) looks after you (A+) responsive (to questions) (A+) cost (A+) I don't think there's a better alternative at this price. let me know if you find one!

Well, I certainly don't claim to know it all, but I do hope that I was able to answer all your questions! Interesting how you rated what I wore to the inspection. I actually know home inspectors who show up in a nice clean golf shirt advertising their company with a nice pair of pants, even better, some will actually show up in a shirt and tie.     Home inspection

    Brent was very helpful with our recent inspection. He spent about 2.5 hours inspecting every inch of the house. He took lots of pictures and offered us lots of advice for the problem areas. I really appreciate the binder he gave us at the end, where he outlines a lot of details of the inpection. someone really to trust! THANKS!!

I figure this, you are putting your trust into someone who is going to tell you all about the biggest purchase that you will ever make. Something that will take many, many years to pay off. You need to put your trust into someone who is at least a legitimate home inspector, takes the time to have you understand every inch of the home, and give you a "heads up" on things.     Home Inspection

    Solely on the basis of recommendations here I contacted Brent first about the possibility of a pre-offer inspection on a place I was interested in. The market being what it is, despite Brent making himself available, the offer had to go in without an inspection. I did however have Brent come in for an inspection to know what I'd bought. From some scheduling hiccups to be managed through the inspection process itself, Brent was nothing but courteous, professional and good-humoured. The inspection was a very thorough one; even though whatever was found would be my problem I wanted to hear it and Brent was going to tell me, and that was excellent. We ran through all the majors - roof, drainage, structure, basement, heating/cooling, water, electrical - but Brent was also good enough to run through items like the central vac and humidifier that I might otherwise be scratching my head over somewhere down the road. There was no rush, everything was given its due and Brent was always asking if I had questions about an area before we moved on. Photos were taken throughout as a record for us both and delivered very promptly. The report was finalized in front of me and handed over before we parted ways. I'll now be moving in with a better understanding of what the house has to offer and what to keep an eye on. Absolutely what I needed to know even after the fact, and if you can take advantage of timing to have Brent in before you offer, DO IT. It will be the best value for money you get in the entire process.

    Pre Sale Home Inspection

    We are in the process of selling our house and decided to get a home inspection to make it easier for the buyers to make a quick decision. I have used the "big name" guys in the past and was NOT IMPRESSED. You pay a lot of money for less work. I found Brent on the Homestars website and he had a lot of positive reviews so I decided to go with him. I was not dissapointed. He spent about 3 hours at my house going over every detail of the house. I could tell that he has a good understanding about building construction and building codes. He had no problems going up on the roof, into the attic, and under crawl spaces. He also took TONS of pictures for us and created an on line gallery that we can access. These were pictures of areas that we never see (rooftop, attic, etc). What a great service. He also provided an excellent summary that I could give to potential buyers to help them with their decision making. There are a lot of choices out there for Home Inspectors and I am happy that I chose Brent. Thanks!

In your case, probabaly works well as a sales tool. In other cases, not so well. It's amazing what people will learn about their home after they have brought me in to do a pre-listing. Things that they have lived with for years, issues that could have been easily fixed, but has caused a much bigger problems, things they never even knew existed. Always makes it interesting. I always laugh when people didn't know how to use something, never bothered to learn how, never used it, yet are amazed that they even had it! Ha!     Home inspection

    Brent was a true professional on my recent home inspection. He dedicated over 3 hours to a home inspection and thoroughly went through any problem areas with me. He was exceptionally friendly and courteous. He not only went through any issues with me, but left me with a binder of his findings and home repair hints, bt also later sent me a detailed online photo gallery of everything he inspected. As well, he invited me to contact him at anytime, now or in the future (even years from now) if I have any questions or need recommendations for work to be done. Awesome service at an affordable price! I will definitely recommend him to others and use him again should the opportunity arise.

    Home Inspection

    Brent is an amazing home inspector. He was very thorough and diligent with our home inspection. As first time homebuyers, my husband and I had alot of questions and concerns about the house we were considering purchasing. Brent was very patient and took the time to answer all our questions. He is also very likable and personable, which makes him a really easy person to work with.
