Thank you so much for the review Josh !!! It is much appreciated!!! I always love inspecting homes that have just been "recently renovated", or at least that's how they are being sold. I have seen some great work done, and some not so great. What I think really amazes me is when they spare no expense on the materials themselves, but shortcut on things that are inexpensive to begin with. Which in turn, causes grief. Sometimes I wonder with the renovations if it is just a little "lipstick" ( as we like to call it ), ot has the job been done properly. Always makes for an interesting inspection. Thank you so much for the review Asim !!! It is much appreciated! Fortunetely, there wasn't much wrong with the home. Not the case with every new home though. However, it's always nice to tell people that it's minimum. It's just amazing what the problems can be with new homes. Sometimes it's VERY questionable as to how things "passed" inspection from people with authority. Sometimes I wonder if they even bothered to get out their car to look. Thank you so much for the review Drago ! Wow, what a Mt Pleasant beauty! At, least I thought so. Hopefully all went well with that one. Isn't it amazing that some electricians will replace some of the knob and tube wiring, but not all of it. I have no idea why. People paid to have the wiring updated. Then I come in an tell you there's still a bunch of it still present within the home. It always seems to throw a wrench into the mix. There's so many honest tradespeople out there doing a great job, yet there is still so many questionable ones who don't seem to care. Oh well, it can be replaced. Thank you so much for the review A&A in Leslieville! It is much appreciated! You know, 25 issues actually isn't even that much! I actually thought those were fairly well built and had minimal issues. Heck, in some of the new homes in surrounding areas of Toronto, problems?, wow, lots of them. I've done multimillion dollars homes, that if I was to tell you the problems they had, you would think I was lying! ...and they were "custom built". Honestly, yes, a few problems with your home, but you should be quite happy overall. Thanks again A&A, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!

Yes we found mold in the basement, but the key is, why is it there. With you going through the inspection with me, hopefully you now have a better understanding as to why. Well, not in all cases, but certainly in many. Yes Pina, I do try an "educate" a person about the home. A person needs to know more about the home than just a bunch of problems. Thank you so much for the review Linda !!! Arn't new homes a funny thing? I don't mean "ha, ha" funny, but the problems that they can have? It's amazing how many people buy a new home because they basically just want a home that's "problem free". Most of these buyers are in for a rude awakening! New homes can have many more issues than homes that are much older. Many people will ask me if I live in a new home. Nope, I live in a 50 year old home. Then they will follow it up with, "would I buy a new home?" Well, yes, I would. It's just you have to be real careful with home builders. Let's just leave it at that. Thanks again Linda! I always find it so ammusing when realtors or homebuyers/sellers tell me, "wow, my home inspector doesn't do that". I simply respond, "hmmm, well they should be". Please understand this, most home inspectors are lazy. In my books, they give more excuses than they do answers. Which in turn, totally kills it for inspectors like myself who are trying the best they can. Thank you Sarah for the review, I do take these things seriously !!!
