Review from HomeOwner Review left on 15 Dec 2012Rating: 5 out of 5Excellent service from Boris, owner, always answered any questions I had. Installers worked diligently and until the total install was complete, which meant until 7.30pm having started at 9.00a.m. Would definitely recommend this company.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Townhouse install in Scarborough. Talked to a lot of different companies about install, and called Boris because of excellent reviews on HomeStars. Not disappointed, he was the most professional, respectful and informative salesperson of the group. Sold me on the Goodman furnace and A/C, really loved the 10 yr parts AND labour warranty, no strings attached. He followed up after I confirmed to make sure we wanted what we asked for and not something more basic (i.e. didn't try to upsell at all, clearly explained how long it would take to pay off higher model). Boris even answered my follow-up calls late at night. The installers Kam and co. were thorough, knowledgeable, clean, meticulous. Explained upkeep and maintenance carefully and walked me through warranty and rebate process. Ensured that items in my quote that were not needed in the job were removed before I paid. The only possible negative I could share is that the installers kept both front and back doors open the entire time, even if they were not going in and out, and in December this froze the house and the whole family ended up with a cold. But aside from that, great work and I feel like I got the best product for my space done by an excellent team. Would definitely trust them for my needs in the future.Answer from pro:
Nicholas, thank you very much for your business and fair review. It was a pleasure to deal with you. I hope your family is feeling well.*** The guys were going through the doors every few minutes. Soiled hands, soiled gloves, soiled boots, bulky stuff with sharp edges. If the crew had to open and close the doors every time, by the end of the job the doors and walls around the doors would be full of spots and scratches. If it were their own home, the guys would definitely keep the doors wide open. *** Usually during installation families try to stay upstairs. This is the first time that we got complain on open doors. I will discuss with the crew what can be done to keep the doors open less time.

I selected this company as it had 10 stars and great reviews on Homestars and now I see why. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, competitive and great communication. It was a big job that included replacing existing equipment with a 115,000 BTU furnace with angular filter and humidifier and a 5 ton air conditioner, I wanted top quality and great service and that's exactly what I received. I would most certainly refer this company to anyone looking for an HVAC contractor.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

It was a pleasure to deal with Boris from Cozy World. He is knowledgeable, and caring. His price was reasonable and he gave us good advice. His workman were efficient, professional, and informative, They arrived early and worked non-stop until they finished, then gave us good instruction about use of the new equipment and left the basement clean. The next day I found we had no hot water, I emailed Boris to ask if his workman could fix the problem or if I needed to call direct energy. He phoned me within ten minutes and came to my house right away to check the problem. This was after 9PM. This kind of caring and attention to detail makes for excellent service. I would definitely use him again!Answer from pro:
Irma, It was real pleasure to deal with you. Thanks again for your business.*** I just wanted to add that it took Direct Energy 3! (three) days to fix their rental water heater. And that was a standard water heater, no electronics, no motors. Golden age lady with limited mobility was waiting for hot water from Tuesday to Friday. Unbelievable !

I must say that I struck gold when I discovered Boris and his company on the internet, along with his great reviews on Homestars. He came and did an assessment, explained everything in a very logical and honest manner, and quoted me a price $1000 lower than two other major furnace installation companies. Also, to my surprise, he indicated that I needed a lower capacity furnace. The other companies had overestimated the capacity (could it be b/c then the furnace is more expensive?). In any case, the installers, Kam and ... (forgot name) were also excellent. The job looks very professional and the furnace works well and I cannot even hear it. They took care not to scratch the walls or dirty the floors when the furnaces were taken in/out, the furnace room was left clean and they recycled the packaging accordingly. I would strongly recommend this company. Location reviewed is actually in Toronto.Review from John Plumpton John Plumpton

Boris and his team did a great job. He gave me a firm quote and never asked for an extra even when the project become a little complicated. He was very honest in turning down an additional job I had requested of him because he didn't think it served my interests and he was probably right. I was very specific about how I wanted the ducting and the team struggled with my requests (I hate bulkheads) but they kept pushing, even coming up with a few really good compromises to make sure I got what I was looking for. The work was so good that even the gas company commented on what a neat job they did in such a small space and they also ststed they felt I had exactly the right system for my application. Based on what I've seen to date, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them (of course we still have a cold winter ahead to see how this all plays out :-) )
