So I had a bunch of stone in my backyard and needed a bin to get rid of all of it. I came to homestars.com and found that Des had a bunch of good ratings... well now I know why. I called him at least 4 times because I was a little disorganized getting help to move this stone into the bin. Des was so helpful. I eventually lined up the help and called him on Friday, dreaming of a same day (Friday) drop off (good luck) so I could load it over the weekend. He had the bin to my house in an hour. Yes 1hr. The bin was dropped off. We agreed he would pick it up on Sunday. I called him Sunday seeing if he could pick it up Monday because I did not have the bin full yet and the answer: "Yes Sir, no problem" So Monday at 9:00am bin was picked up. He always answers his phone and is totally delightful. I wish he was a carpenter, electrician and plumber as well. Thanks again Des

After gutting our basement, we had a large pile of drywall, framing and tiles that we hired Des to get rid of. He was very pleasant to deal with, arriving on time and giving an estimate that was very close to the final cost. The only reason I'm not giving him full marks is that I ended up doing half the work of hauling the stuff out of the house. Please understand that I chose to do this. Des came alone to evaluate the job and if I had refused to help I'm sure he would have returned at a later date with a second person but we wanted the stuff out sooner rather than later so that's how it worked out. We would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to our friends.

Des came today (may 8th 2009) and hauled away 2 loads of construction waste. The job was done quickly and for the price quoted. Will definately use Des again for final clean-up

Des arrived on time (he was even early). He was friendly and quickly removed the construction debris from our basement renovation. I would definitely recommend Des to the individuals who are looking for junk disposal. I wanted to stay away from the more "corporate junk removal companies", which charge an "arm and a leg", or the "fly by night" operators who might dump your debris in an illegal spot. Des was the perfect fit. Both for my wallet as well as ensuring my junk would be properly be disposed and recycled.

Came the next day, was on-time, and very personable. Very affordable, and someone who was genuinely interested in getting all of my junk hauled away. An honest guy doing an honest days work! I think Des will be in business for a very long time.

Des and his daughter Colleen removed a truck full of waste for me this morning. They were friendly, punctual, worked quickly, were thorough, and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. Des's price was more than fair. I will definitely recommend Des to my friends, and I will call him again when it comes time to clean my basement.

I called Des based on the reviews I read on this site. I wasn't disappointed! He took the call on the first or second ring, offered to come around the same day to look at the job and was at my home within the hour. As he felt it was a relatively small job (it only took about an hour), he did it right away. Before he started work, he gave me a breakdown of the cost (his cost, dumping fees, etc). I have used other companies in the past, especially some of the larger disposal companies, and I must say I was quite surprised at the price Des quoted. It had to be at least $100 to $200 less than I would have expected to pay some of the "bigger guys." So, I would use him again and I'd recommend him to all my friends and family. And on top of all that, he's a really nice guy and fun to chat with! You can't go wrong with Des.

Des took four full loads of construction debris out of my garage. He was a really nice guy, did a great job and left the site good as new. His price was very reasonable and his estimation of how many loads he felt I would be paying for was bang on. I'll be calling him again for more work.

Found Des on Homestars. Called him in the morning, he showed up early in the evening. Did a good job for a fair price. I'd use Des again, but all my junk is gone!
