    Installing new Water Heater

    I just wanted to express my appreciation to the Durham East District team who installed my new rental water heater on Friday December 10th, 2018. On their request for a review, I just wished to say that I was impressed with the two young men, Brandon Noyes and Evon, who did the work. They were both very professional in their attitude and in their work and as far as I can ascertain, they have done a good job. So far, the water heater is working well.

    Unacceptable and Unresponsive Service

    Disastrous service experience. I have paid them for just short of 5 years to rent and service the HW tank that provides Hot Water and acts as a Boiler for the Furnace. The tank sprung a leak this morning. Called at 7:30 am on Dec 15. Advised the soonest appointment would be Dec 29th. I informed them the tank is on the second floor, with expensive ceilings and flooring below. "Best we can do" Called back at noon. Was told the "back office" was having a hard time finding a tech. Would call when they found one. at 4:30 I called back, as we now have the leak but no hot water or heat. Advised they could improved to Dec 19th. The agent was understanding but again, "nothing I can do" Given that the tank belongs to them and I am paying for service, this is INTOLERABLE. There are lots of techs in Belleville I can call and have here in a few hours. It would seem if I want to live in the house for the next 4 days, I need to get it fixed myself. And then get rid of Enercare, who seem to have no concept of customer service. Highly NOT recommended

    Billing error

    Bit of a problem with booking appointments and the wait is very long upwards to 2 months after booking. Generally the service has been very good. Big problem though when I tried to transfer an account from a house we sold to another house. The charged the full outstanding on one house (over $240 and then created a new account on the other house. I have still not been able to get this resolved after a year and several calls to get it fixed. Now getting harassment calls from their collection service. It would be nice to get a call back with a solution of how they plan to resolve it.

    Maintenace

    The service tech was very courteous and friendly It always nice to have someone that is very knowledgeable to come and do service on our furnace .Thank you Gerry for been good at what you do.

    No heat emergency

    Enercare's initial response to my no heat situation wasn't to the level of urgency one would expect. Being -6C outside, you would expect a little more. The initial service technician told me to "bundle up" as it would take several days to procure the replacement part. There was no attempt to provide space heaters etc. I immediately elevated the situation to the office of the president. The part was delivered to my home on a Sunday morning and the furnace was repaired the same Sunday evening. Total time without heat was ~2 days. During this ordeal, I had the pleasure of meeting some outstanding Enercare technicians. Edmund Cordero is a is an experienced Enercare technician who took the time to fine tune my furnace and explain what he was doing. Aside from his technical skills, his customer service was significantly better than most of the other Enercare technicians. He restored some of my confidence of the Enercare brand. Thank you Edmund.

    Water heater Rusty water

    Revised review from January 03, 2019: I have reviewed rating and my post about Enercare, because they changed their mind (within 10 days) and attitude how to rectify complaint. Edmund, technician came as scheduled and addressed an issue. Big thanks to Satyaki Sen, Manager, Customer service and all other insiders and parties involved with addressing this issue which resulted in preferred outcome. I think it would be valuable case that may lead Enercare to update its policy providing a clause that a customer with good standing may get complimentary flushing service once or twice in lifetime of installed water heater. It will just solidify position of business as reputable & customer oriented company in the eyes of customers. Initial post as of December 13, 2018: Worst service EVER! Rusty water comes from 9 year old rented Water Heater. Service technician who came Muhammed Malik wants to charge $95 for flushing rusty water from Enercare installed water tank. He concluded that rusty water caused by age of water heater - 9 years as of Dec 2018. But Enercare policy is to keep it until it gets 14 years old. So what? Another 5 years to pay and continue to have guaranteed rusty water even in bigger quantity? Even his supervisor from Brantford Call center also under name Muhammed with employee ID PRBMBAJW was trying to convince me in phone call ref #28971127 that customer has to pay for flushing unhealthy rusty water generated by 9 year old water heater from Enecare that posing risk to client. When I accessed initially Enercare call center I was told the issue would be addressed for free because it is a part of contract. So what free service included ? Service that is not fair.

    Enercare doesn't Care

    The worse service ever you can get in GTA. Their plumbing protection plan is a fraud. They are not even capable of doing a simple leak fix. I had a technician to come 3 times and could not fix it. They dont even bother to listen. What a waste of time and money.

    Jatinder nanuan and Andy came and helped with technical problem very helpful and knowledgeable guys. They were very helpful and came on time and made sure to resolve the problem in a very short time.

    regular heating maintenance

    We have a very good experience with the service guy Mr. Grant Harris, he is very nice, polite, good manner and explained everything to us clearly. Thank you for his good work.

    Furnace maintenance

    My technician was Gerry Jackman. Very efficient. Friendly, neat and tidy, no nose or other rings, on time and knows what he's doing. Very thorough employee you have there. I'd hire him in a minute. Plus, he loves dogs and our rescued dog could tell.
