    Terrible customer service

    Enercare has the worst customer service over the phone. Their phone operators have no clue about the services they offer. When I signed up for a new service plan I was assured I could cancel anytime which is not the case. When we moved, I called to complete the moving process and transfer over my services, it wasn't done. I had to call the following week and do it all over again with someone else. The changes still aren't properly reflected on my account when I log in. On the call, the employee asked to validate my identity and then half way through started calling me by my husband's name.when I ask to speak to a manager I end up on hold forever until I get disconnected. I have yet to reach a manager. I would never recommend, which is too bad because their technicians are amazing but dealing with these people over the phone is horrible.

    Furnace protection plan

    Inner care technician came at my home for just inspection the furnace. By the time he enter in the furnace room, he said your furnace Need to be changed. I asked whats Defect in the furnace he said heating element is damage and it is very dangerous for your family. Then I asked him how you know heating element is damage. He said this type of all furnaces has the same problem. Then he called his friend and he came and gave me the estimate for new furnace. I called my technician and he checked the furnace. He said nothing wrong in the furnace. Because he scared us very much about carbon monoxide Me and my family decided to change the furnace. My certified technician try to explain me Your furnace is OK. You dont need to change it, but I was very scared and we decided to replace the furnace. No, I want to cancel the protection plan. The customer service is not answering my phone. I waited yesterday two hours on the phone line and after They said they will call you tomorrow. I waited all day phone call but no phone call me so in the afternoon I call back again to customer care and put me on hold and after one hour waiting on phone call they answer me. They will call me back tomorrow. I would suggest everyone dont buy any protection plan from enercare Because when the technician came at your home for inspection, they have to say your furnace need to be Change.

    Rental Hot water tank

    If you are purchasing a home and it has a rental tank insist on removal! Otherwise you are locked in to an agreement without choices! For a 7 year old tank we were forced to pay $1100 plus tax to get out of the contract. Never once serviced, just billed every month. Spent 3 hrs on the phone trying to negotiate without any success. Very poor practise. Save the aggravation, the ridiculous fees and don't ever rent from Enercare. Real estate agents take note! I will make it a mission to let realtors know of this poor practice as well. Enercare does not live up to their name, even with escalating the matter there wasn't a choice, no repercussions for them at all.

    Installation of a new Lennox furnace and humidifier

    Calvin was polite and professional

    Calvin was very diligent in checking the CO levels and CO emissions, asked if I had carbon monoxide monitors, how old they they, etc. He didn't have to clean the furnace as it is less than a year old. Calvin explained all his findings before he left. He was polite and professional at all times

    renewal w/o clear communication / terrible customer service

    advisor told that cancellation requested at end of cycle but continued, calling them on hold 30 mins, agent got my number incase of disconnect and no call back after put on hold and hanged up from there end. Called back another 1 hour wait. I don't need to wait 1-2 hours for a 2 min conversation.
