    Prompt and Courteous

    It was David Lewis who came to restart our water heater. He was prompt, courteous, and about as friendly a chap as I have ever met. Learned a bit from him as well!

    Plumbing Issue

    I had a plumbing issue and all they had was an appointment 5 days later. The next day they went to work and found me an appointment for the same day. AWESOME service!

    gas fireplace maintenance

    My Gas fireplace at home had a CO leak and was caught by the Enercare specialist during routine maintenance. as a precaution we booked the service plan for our chalet fireplace. The appointment was booked promptly and the technician came on time. He ensured that the unit was working to specification and was safe. He suggested that we keep the thermostat set to a number that would protect our home if our main heating unit failed. really great having this expertise on our team.

    Broken promise

    Poor annual maintenance check did not detect a major cleaning problem - boiler then failed over xmas and -90 days after the maintenance. They could not send a repairmen to review the problem for over three days despite a same day promise after the first contact - threatening our whole house. We found a local guy who came within hours - will be our new hvac contractors. The whole mess costed me over 1000 and could so easily been avoided with a 30 second check of the exhaust pipe that should be part of the annual maintenance plan. This was a major health hazard in the works

    Hot Water Tank Replacement

    Great service. Replaced quickly with no problems. Adam and Nick From Simcoe Benchmark replaced the tank and had no issues even though it was a really tight spot. Thanks again for the service and have a great day. Regards, Jamie Ehrenworth

    Furnace

    We had no heat on Thursday 1/18/2018, a service technician came within 3 hours, but didn't have the right part for the job and had to order it. Enercare phoned us and said the part would be installed the next day and true to their word another Technician came Friday morning around 9:30 he was very friendly and professional and had the furnace up and running within 15 minutes. He was very proficient and cleaned up any mess that he made, which was minimal. I would, and have done recommended Enercare to friends and relatives. Thanks Enercare.

    Humidifier check

    Our service representative was able to answer all of my questions. He also provided me with advice to save money in the future through using the product differently and purchasing a certain product.

    Don't bother...

    Don't bother. Their service is poor, pricey and their response time are ridiculous. If you call to book an appointment as a plan holder (means you are paying about $600.00 a year), the turnaround time is a week minimum; because they don't have the manpower to service the calls. Do yourself a favor, save the plan fees, and use a well rated local plumber, electrician etc.

    Furnace protection plan

    If you're considering this company it's best to reconsider. Moving to a new house, not knowing the condition of the equipment, a maintenance plan sounds like a good idea. First thing first, the maintenance plan is not for maintenance, it's a cleaning financing plan. The one you'd be looking for, they call the protection plan. First the maintenance plan.. this is a sales call where for the low price of $9.99/month for 12 months they'll come and look over your furnace and do a surface vacuuming. If you have a screwdriver and a vacuum this 'service' can be accomplished in about 15 minutes. Now the protection plan.. on one of the coldest days of the year, that's when the furnace breaks down, not when it's a spring day outside. In our case it was -25c outside. I called for service, waited on the phone for about an hour, was then told that they are now scheduling for Tuesday... It's Saturday night... I'm told that i am on the cancellation list and that if there's an opening they'll call me. Calling back is at least a 45 minute wait, everyone is busy, and unfortunately we're cold. Woke up 5am Sunday morning because it was too cold to sleep and started calling places. Got lucky and found someone around the corner to come at 9:30 that morning. Waiting till Tuesday would likely have resulted in the pipes freezing. Final thoughts... Don't get locked in, pay a little more and don't freeze.
