    HVAC Service

The guys who came in and did the work were fantastic, and you seem competitive with what our neighbours paid for the same thing. . . . . . .

    HVAC Service

The technician that inspected my furnace was polite and was kind enough to show me some areas that were important regarding my furnace and air conditioner. He commented on the furnace motor being noisy and told me that if it got any louder to call and have the motor replaced since the increased noise was a sign that the motor might stop working. I appreciated the time that he took to explain what he was doing.

    Water Heater Service

The service man that came to our house to repair our hot water heater did an excellent job. He arrived on-time, stated exactly what needed to be done, performed the job and did so very quickly. He had the parts he needed and he was very polite. Great job!!!

    Water heater Installation

Everyone from the initial service technician to the hot water tank install team to the call centre, were pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. The service tech noticed my cracked exhaust pipe immediately. Both the service tech and the install team arrived within the allotted time frame, explained what they were doing and cleaned up after the job was complete. Since this was a rental hot water tank, there was absolutely no cost to me.

Hot Water Tank Shutoff Valve Repair

My hot water tank (non-rental) had started leaking from the bottom one morning, and despite turning the tank shutoff valve clockwise all the way, I was unable to stop the flow of water from entering my faulty hot water tank. As such, I had to shut off the main water valve to prevent further leakage from my hot water tank, which also meant no water usage (hot or cold) for the entire house. Due to the urgency of the situation, I decided to use Enercare because a) I was previously their hot water tank rental customer, b) they offered same day service, and c) they had advertised on their website that for $79, they will send a licensed plumber for a diagnosis/quote, and their plumbers will arrive with the parts they’ll likely need to finish the job. One of the things that I did not like about Enercare is that their Customer Representatives will exploit the opportunity during a time of crisis, to pressure a customer into signing up onto their “Protection Plans” for 1 year, at an inflated price that differs from their website. For example, my Customer Representative attempted to pressure me into agreeing to a one-time cost of $178 plus a monthly rate of $16.49 in order for her to send a licensed plumber to my house. After repeatedly referencing the standard $79 diagnosis/quote option on their website, I was finally able to schedule a technician visit within a 4-hour window in the same afternoon. The technician that came to my house was named Alan Cotton, and he did arrive within the 4-hour appointment window. Based upon his diagnosis, he recommended repairing my existing hot water tank shutoff valve (Globe Type) by replacing the valve stem cartridge. I agreed to the cost, and he proceeded to repair the valve within 15 minutes, which allowed me to turn on the main water valve to the house, while shutting off water to my faulty hot water tank. While I appreciated the “quick” fix by Alan, I do wonder if it was the “proper” fix in hindsight because Direct Energy (now known as Enercare) had previously performed a consultation at my house, and had recommended that the existing hot water tank shutoff valve (Globe Type) be replaced completely with a Ball-Type shutoff valve instead. In fact, another HVAC installer that I have since consulted with, also made the same recommendation that a Ball-Type shutoff valve should have been installed instead, since they are more reliable than the Globe Type valves. Overall, I would only recommend Enercare if you are an existing customer of their “Protection Plans”, or if you are unable to obtain availability from other local plumbers for same day service.

    furnace cleaning and checkup

This was covered in our maintenance agreement. The technician was thorough, prompt, and considerate. He did exactly what was necessary. I will continue to use this company through our agreement. I feel confident that our needs are being met properly.

    Hot water heatet

Would not recommend them to anyone! My rental hot water tank from them leaked all over my basement, which has a dirt floor (which was now mud because of their tank) and they refused to go near the tank until I laid concrete on my floor. I ended up calling a local heating and cooling company who were not afraid to get their hands dirty. They have no issues working in my basement and maybe getting dirty.

    AC/FURNACE/HEATING

we bought an AC and Furnace unit a couple of years ago. The AC began to leak this past sumer every day from underneath the indoor unit. I called Enercare and they sent a technician. WHen he came he only looked at the unit, blow the hose attached and left. He also mentioned that he was "hang over" due to "too much wine the night before" Two days passed and the air leaked again. Another Tech came, did the same thing, the AC kept leaking. two kore technicians came and refused to open the unit to see what could the problem be. Their techinician act like they dont care at all. They are unprofessionals and with attitude. When I called to complaint to the supervisor, I spoke to a person name Tyler. He was as rude as the technicians. I had an appt today for another tech to come from 11am to 3pm. He showed up at my door at 9am and I was in the bathroom I couldnt opened the door. He called back and said that he cant come later too ad I didnt open the door. I esaif the appt was booked for 11am!!. WHen i called the office the supervisor Tyler said 'well you didnt open the door, now he cant do the job" This company is so rude and unprofessional, I asked to speak to someone higher up but the Supervisor Tyler refused to pass the phone to anyone else. I will not recommend this services to any of my friends and family. Bad service!

    HVAC Service

The technician was professional, arrived in the delivery window and provided information on the state of our furnace and possible requirement for replacement. He informed me to contact Enercare if we need any further assistance (i.e. if the noise escalates in the motor again). Overall a good experience. Thank you.

    HVAC Services

I was reminded that my furnace servicing was due in a timely fashion. The technician was on time, neat and clan and very friendly. We have never had a problem with our furnace. Additionally the service man gave us some good advice regarding our aging water heater.
