    Water heater service

Needed service with the water heater. Was able to book the appointment by phone with no problem: got through to the agent, booked the appointment for the very next day, and altogether took only about 15 minutes. Very happy with that. Technician came, was very helpful and friendly, and was able to remedy the issue in probably about an hour. Also gave me useful advice and tips. Very pleased, Thanks Gary!

    hot water tank

I was so very impressed by the excellent service I received from Enercare. It was Easter Weekend and the sales rep and the technicians went above and beyond to help me.

What are they doing to help their customers during covid crisis

My enercare is up for renewal next month but it seems like enercare is the only company that doesn't help their customers during this covid crisis. They're even kept on insisting to maintain the service with the same price even if you kept on saying I can't afford it right now because I'm out of work. " Then we're giving you 1 month off then you pay 23.99+23.99 plus tax a month". Wow!

    Enercare Unfair Practices

Enercare do not care and I would not recommend any of their services. I had a gas fire place service which was just a guy coming in to check that its ok. I had agreed to pay for it monthly so the payments continued. I forgot to call and cancel the automatic renewal which went through the first month. I called after the first month payment and no matter who I talked to they could not produce the notification they sent for the renewal coming up. I dont believe they sent anything. I asked them to keep whatever they charged and cancel the remaining payments and they refused and sent me a recording saying I agreed to an automatic renewal. I think the offer of keeping whatever payments they took and cancelling the remainder is fair and the refusal is unfair practice. I did not to this date use the service for this year and do not plan to use it. I also had a plumbing plan and only after I scheduled the visit did they tell that most plumbing issues are not actually covered. I would not recommend this company from services, customer care or fair agreement practices.

    I WAS VERY IMPRESSED

The technicians that were sent over to my home to remove and old water heater rental and install a new one were exceptional with their level of professionalism, speed, keeping safe distances, knowledge and especially good customer service skills. I was very impressed and congrats for hiring the right people to send out! The people you send out is a big part of your brand and my takeaway is that your company cares about all of the above. I would definitely recommend you if anyone I know has an HVAC issue. RT, Courtice ON

    Verbal contract is BS

I recently had a hot water tank leak which resulted in a replacement water new tank. When I initially called Enbridge about the leak, they informed with that I had a contract with Enercare for an annual home protection plan with (which I have no record/documentation of or recollection of entering into). Enercare came and replaced the tank (which we owned) with a rental tank. When I called Enercare after the replacement to inquire about my coverage and to please send the contract over so I could review it, they told me there is no physical contract. Apparently the agreement was entered into verbally, in person, when we randomly chose their name out of the phone book 3 years ago to fix a problem with our furnace. I learned in speaking to Enercare that my husband indeed agreed to the home protection at the time but signed nothing at the time and he was not made aware that he had entered into something legally binding. We have now paid in excess of $2000 over 3 years for a service we did not know we had, have no documentation of agreeing to, and that we used once 2 days ago (for a service that would have cost <$1000 through our plumber). Verbal agreements for a company like this is an outrageous and a deceptive business practice. It should not be legal. Every customer should be entitled to a physical record of a legal-binding contract entered into whether verbally or otherwise agreed to. Further, verbal agreement should not be permitted for a company that autorenews to the tune of hundreds of dollars each year without sending confirmation of renewal. When I inquired with Enercare about a refund for 3 years of unused/useless service protection I was told its not an option. The best they could do was not penalize me for cancelling. I cancelled all remaining services with the company (other thank hot water tank rental) and encourage others to inspect their gas bill to see what "charges from other companies" they are paying, and to discontinue service with companies using deceptive business practices like Enercare.

Repair furnaces, boiler, put in new air conditioners and fix plumbing issues

I use Enercare Home Services for my house and recently my mother-in-laws place. I have had excellent technicians ( NAZ, most recently), fix very old appliances and they are still going strong. I buy the maintenance plans and when I need someone to come to my house, I just call. I highly recommend this company!!

ENERCARE BOILER SERVICE PLAN WAS FLAWLESSLY EXECUTED

Called before coming. Showed up within the time arranged and agreed to. Inspected the boiler efficiently. Made whatever adjustments (if any) were required. Departed within a respectable & reasonable time. Was professional throughout the entire visit. Was without incident nor complaint. Fee was covered 100% by my plan. Well done altogether. OVERALL - PERFECT

    Auto renew plumbing contracts

Very dissatisfied with this company beware - $17.99 a month for plumbing coverage - that covers basically nothing - impossible to get out of the contract unless you pay for 1 year
