    backwater valve

    I found Drain Works on Home Stars. This company is fantastic. I use them for any plumbing jobs I need done and recently had them install a backwater valve to help insure against flooding in the basement. They are courteous, timely, extremely efficient and get the job done right -- every time. I will not use anyone else. If you're looking for an awesome plumber, try Drain Works -- you will be amazed!

    Unplugged an old toilet

    2nd time I ve used them and though I do find them on the expensive side, they got the job done, are clean, careful, polite and take the time to explain and detail what they re doing and going to do. Though I never truly enjoy seeing a plumber - especially in my house - I would certainly call them again and feel confident that I am getting my money's worth., I would recommend them.

    Clogged Bathroom Sink

    My bathroom sink was draining at a snail's pace. After trying everything I could to get it unclogged myself, I called Drainworks. They had done great work for us previously. Lou was able to come out that same day and was quickly and cleanly able to remove a HUGE fist-sized ball of something from our sink's trap. Great Job.

    Back Water Valve

    DrainWorks were prompt, professional, thorough and clean. A little on the expensive side. If they promise that they will likely be able to come and do the work earlier than the scheduled date, keep in mind it will only be by a day or so. City of Toronto inspector was happy with their work and approved the inspection.

    Garden faucet/pipe replacement; added shut off valve to main water line

    Hi, Phil from Drainworks did a solid job with the plumbing work we needed done on our newly purchased home. There was a leak in the outside plumbing pipe due to a heavy tree leaning into it. He ended up replacing the entire pipe section from the inside of the house to the outside, and changed the indoor shut off valve as well, since the previous installation was not to code and was a risk for frozen pipes. He also added a shut off valve to our main water line, since the home inspector said the existing one was very old and could cause leak issues down the road. The added valve means we don't have to worry about touching the existing one, which both Phil and the inspector said separately would be fine as long as we don't touch it. Replacing the existing one would've meant getting the City involved, which could take a long time, so his proposal was an effective solution to the problem. Phil was extremely careful about explaining how the fees were calculated right from the beginning, so that everything was up front.

    installation of back water valve

    Thanks guys for the very efficient and professional manner in which you perform your work. Project managers:always on time, prepared and courteous not only to the customer but also their own staff. Special thanks to JP for keeping me posted as to appointments and arrival times of the team. That was a big plus!

    Kitchen sink replacement

    I can tell you that Phil made this an incredibly fantastic decision to have DrainWorks replace my kitchen sink. The old saying, 'everything but the kitchen sink" actually includes the kitchen sink in my house as everything has needed to be replaced. The previous owners did quick fixes for a sale and my home inspector was useless. Phil arrived during the time slot given to me and noticed several irregularities with not only the old sink but the pipe fittings as well. He spent a few hours over two visits explaining everything and really working hard to remove the old sink which seems to have been super glued to the counter. He then installed the new one and put in brand new everything as nothing was to code. Phil is FANTASTIC and a true gentleman who does things the old school way, meaning, the right way. DrainWorks was a pleasure to deal with from the first phone call to William who kept in touch with me and even offered an appointment sooner than the one first scheduled. Well done!

    Drains/Waterproofing

    The team at Drainworks have always been a pleasure to work with. We had used them several times in the past for small jobs and they were always prompt, helpful and reliable. Most recently, we called them in to waterproof our basement after a flood. What initially appeared to be a straightforward job ended up becoming very complicated due to some structural issues unrelated to Drainworks that we uncovered when they started digging. Frank, their project manager, was a patient and very helpful resource through the entire process, helping us weigh the pros-and-cons of their continued work and assisting us in making informed decision about our project. Once our go-forward plan was determined, the Drainworks team worked very diligently to complete the work and get us back on schedule. I am happy to recommend Frank and his team and would certainly call Drainworks again in the future.

    cleared basement floor drain

    DrainWorks makes the stress of raw sewage in your basement pass quickly! This is our second time using them. Matt's professionalism and cleanliness on our first job made us call them again. I really hope this is our last call, but, we have referred friends. I really appreciate the boot covers and wheel covers on the machinery, nice touch!

    Cleared slow drains!

    Our upstairs bathroom sink drain had become very slow.... the tub drain was not great either. We have used Drainworks before for both large and small plumbing jobs, and they have been uniformly excellent. We called Drainworks in the morning, and they arrived less than 12 hours later, cleared our drains quickly and cleanly. These guys are excellent! Prompt, professional, thorough and clean and tidy... not to mention unfailingly courteous, and willing to answer my many questions. They are the rockstars of plumbing! We will always call Drainworks for any plumbing related issue in our home!
