**Kerry** DrainWorks’ initial visit to your home was on December 22nd, 2011. We did provide a quote to fix the problem, and you declined to proceed at that time. You were also made aware that should you decide to proceed with the quote, signatures and a deposit would have to be obtained first, and not to wait until you backed up again. Then, 19 days later, you called our office for an immediate go ahead on the quotation because the problem returned. DrainWorks, with much effort, was able to accommodate you same day, but as with any contract, signatures and a deposit are required; an email is not a binding document. The only reason the signatures and deposit were required so quickly is because you wanted the work to begin right away. You were offered other start times for after you provided the signatures and deposit at your leisure, but you refused. You wanted the work to begin right away with no signed contract, and this is in no one’s best interest, no matter how modern the times are. If it is your personal preference to deal with a company that does not obtain a signed contract before work begins, then that is your choice, but to give DrainWorks a 0 review for not adhering to how you wish business was practiced, is preposterous. Next thing you know HomeStars will accept a 0 score from someone who prefers a different colour of uniform.
