Initially, it was our hope a local contractor could have done the Mercury Flame Switch conversion for you but as noted, it's something that a lot of contractors either won't do or don't know how to do. For a Security gas fireplace, our technicians know how to do the conversion and also carry the parts in the vehicle with them. We are quite happy that you did choose Gas Fix to convert the Mercury Flame Switch to a new operating system which included the gas valve and pilot assembly. Your fireplace is just like a brand new unit now without the cost of a new unit. ~ Jason ~

We receive many calls from customers who have given up on a contractor as they haven't made the scheduled call or returned the phone call. Our office staff books calls in two hour blocks and our technicians call you prior to arrival to confirm your appointment and give you an estimated arrival time, like Scott has done.
