    gas fireplace repair

    When my CFM gas fireplace insert stopped working I waited a month before contacting anyone to repair it, as I was fully expecting the repair person to try to sell me a new unit, as CFM is no longer in business. Scott Lathe from Gas Fix quickly diagnosed the problem and he had the required new parts in his service vehicle. Not only does my fireplace work properly it looks the best it has in many years. In closing, as a tradesperson myself, I do NOT have any hesitation in recommending Scott Lathe. My dog Brody thanks you as well, he loves to lay down near the warm fireplace.

    Thanks Paul. Although CFM has been out of business for a while, we know who in the industry that uses the same parts as CFM did. This means that we have parts that other people will tell you are not available. We did have the parts you needed and you are all set for now.     Inspect chimney

    Work done Nov 2012. I believed the neighbouring infill house had put my chimney out of code, I was amazed when checking with some other contractors advertising as licensed gasfitters, as to how unfamiliar they were with TSSA gas code!! GasFix was recommended to me by the store where I bought my gas insert fireplace. Despite the fact I live in Toronto, Scott was very accomodating and drove out from Hamilton to inspect my chimney. Scott was very knowledgeable, confirmed that there was a code compliance problem with my chimney (caused by a very tall infill house built next door within 10 feet of my chimney), identified exactly which section of the code was in question. His inspection was very helpful when I approached developer of neighbouring property about solving the chimney problem they had caused me. Punctual. Highly recommended.

At Gas Fix, my staff and I are always working to keep up to date with changes in codes and requirements. Normally I would have sent my Toronto staff, but I was in Toronto regularly this year.

    fireplace /gas repair

    Scott Lathe of Gas Fix is exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable, completely professional and accurate in his assessment of our fireplace gas problem. His work is thorough, his prices are competitive, and timeline is prompt. He resolved our issue for much less than we expected to pay, and when the work was complete our unit looked brand new and functioned beautifully.     Warranty Service

    We had Scott come over for a Warranty issue with our Modern Flames Electric Fireplace. He called us to confirm he was coming in the morning, was punctual and professional. Fixed the issues and even vacuumed before leaving. Thanks Scott!

In this day and age I can not understand how some contractors can not seem to use a cell phone. As a courtesy we call when we are on our way and if we are running late.     Fireplace Mtce.

    Scott called twice to keep us up to date with his arrival time. Once here he was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were pleased with the service provided and will use him again. (Odd billing charges, $93.00 to walk in the front door, then $1.55 per minute there after to do the service = $210.18 for one hour incl. HST + parts)

In over 40 years in this industry, I have found that the quality of the service technician is proportional to the expense. Outfitting staff with the right equipment can add up very fast.     Upgrade, clean and maintain 12 fireplaces

    Gas Fix is the third company I have tried and by far the most thorough and professional. Their prices are competitive and clearly outlined. Scott was punctual and true to his word in every respect. We will definitely be using Gas Fix again for our annual maintenance and all fireplace needs.

    Service Call

    Had wasps in the fireplace exhaust vent. After getting rid of them, called on Scott from Gasfix to swing by to make sure there was nothing in the exhaust pipe and to check the fireplace out. I have had Scott and other members of his tem come out before and they are all extremely knowledgeable and professional.

    Faulty fireplace

    Scott came to our home to diagnose an issue that we have been having with our fireplace since it was installed over a year ago. The company that installed it was over many times, but could not solve the issues we were having. I was quite frustrated to say the least. Scott from GasFIx was punctual, polite and thorough. He layed down a heavy blanket so as not to make a mess, vacuumed any dust that was created and not only fixed the problem, but left everything perfect. He even replaced some screws that had been stripped by the installers. I would highly recommend this company for any of your gas fixes. I finally have a properly working fireplace!

    Maintenance on Gas Fireplace

    On August 29, 2012 Dwayne from GasFix came to our house for a maintenance check on our gas fireplace. Dwayne was punctual, polite, friendly and very tidy. The service was excellent and reasonably priced. It was the second time we've used this company and we would certainly call them again. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend GasFix. I don't know the name of the person who answered our initial call, but he was very helpful and friendly too. We have never dealt with anyone at GasFix who wasn't knowledgeable and helpful and very friendly and polite.

    pool heater repair

    Scott came assessed the problem with my heater ,repaired it. . Very knoledgeable . He and his company will definetly be the only one I will call without hesitation in the future... Thank you Scott,Gasfix.
