Knowing the Glen Echo "family" for more than 20 years made our choice very easy. We have frequently referred them to numerous neighbours for landscaping work. However, this was the first project of our own and the experience was first class. Derek is keen to understand customer preferences and develops a design that is customized to those specific needs as well as providing his own unique ideas i.e. rocks/stones, brickwork, plantings. He describes a vivid mental and visual image of the final result and presents the available choices of product to achieve that. The project started and finished on schedule and on budget. The entire crew worked diligently and was very professional. A couple of required changes in product were handled smoothly and reflected the flexibility of the design work. We have received rave reviews from all of our neighbours.

We needed advise and planting of large trees on our property . The manager not only visited our property to check what trees will be suitable and how should they be planted,if they could be planted, the job was done expediously and he checked that it was done profecienty In addition he personally came to check all was done to our expectation a few days later

We wanted a welcoming, low key approach to our home and deck areas ... one which would showcase Mother Nature's gifts (lots of large granite boulders and mature trees on the property), blend well with the modest 1960's bungalow and rural surround, and fit our lifestyle. Designer Val Hadden and the Glen Echo crew, led by Waltec, delivered a dream come true. On time, and within budget. They were creative, talented, flexible, hard-working, professional, and fun to have around. Most important of all, every person on site put a piece of their heart into our project, every single day. And that made all the difference. Out of a possible ten, they earned an eleven!

We are extremely happy with our recent landscaping job. Derek Tiessen's design expertise and know-how combined with his crews' dedication, hard work and attention to detail made for a stunning result that has transformed our property and prompted many complements from neighbours. My husband and I have dealt with many nurseries over the years but none compare to Glen Echo. We were in a new home with no landscaping. One of their designers, Vanessa, put together a great plan for us and kept it within our budget. From there we got to know Rob, who is their tree expert. As well, Paul is always there to help. Very willing to spend the time to find exactly what you are looking for. Michael, Ricardo and Fernando worked very hard at putting the whole project together. Beautiful job. We get so many comments on how nice everything looks. No one would be disappointed with their quality of service,and whenever you visit them, you will always have someone come and ask if they can help. Klaus sure knows how to run a great landscape and nursery company.

My wife and I interviewed several landscape designers before deciding to hire Derek Tiessen and Glen Echo Nurseries. They truly understood the vision we had for our backyard oasis and delivered it on time and on budget. Waltec, the foreman, along with Robert and Christian were amazing. When I would return home at the end of the day, they would show me every little detail of their days work. Their pride in their work and the craftsmanship shown confirmed we had hired the right company. As a result we have received nothing but compliments on the landscaping from friends, family and perfect strangers. Thanks to Glen Echo our back yard has been transformed into a woodland paradise. As he did with our front yard a couple of years ago, Derek set out the design taking into account the large trees we have as well as the areas we wanted to keep. The Glen Echo style is one that draws on elegance and flow of design - while at the same time creating a very personal and intimate garden space. The crew were hard-working and creative as well - even to the point where Mike suggested adding moss to a patio area for interest. Ricardo's efforts at getting an arbour set up were valiant to say the least. The final touches were added with Jenny's help in terms of understanding what shrubs could cope with shade etc. We have made Glen Echo our "go-to" landscaper and garden centre for over 20 years. The service has never wavered in terms of quality.
