    Landscape Renovation

    Absolutely top rate start to finish. Quality and attention to detail were outstanding! In total the Reno took about 5 weeks and it was as close to painless as a reno could get and at the end we have a beautiful yard, front and back. Totally recommend these guys!

    Judgement + Experience + Knowledge

    Conceptualization into implementation demonstrates experience with expertise. Our concern was font yard parking in the city and with the experience we should get there. This was more and far more than just construction.

    Green Apple is terrible and does not deliver

    I engaged Green Apple in January to design and then build our back deck - wanting to ensure we started building early spring so the deck would be ready for summer. What a disaster. We waited 4 months, and paid $4000 for a design that was not what we wanted, over priced, and ultimately unworkable. We ended up paying for new design and get someone else to build our deck. The people I dealt with at this company were rude and more interested in their own interests and gauging us. I would not recommend.

We looked back in our records in order to figure out who you might be, using the timeline you gave in your review, and that you said it was for back deck design. We only found one client that matched this timeline and description. If we have this correct, you had hired us to design a deck with a plunge pool for your backyard. You had not hired us to build your deck. We had no idea that you were not happy with our design service as you had not expressed that to us till now. If you had communicated, at the time, that you were not satisfied, we would have tried to do something about it. We designed your backyard, revised it twice as per your feedback, and then gave you quotes for us to build the job multiple ways. You then asked us to break down our pricing and we communicated the breakdown in terms of material cost, labour, and overhead. When a wish list exceeds a budget, clients can be upset sometimes. We are unsure of how we were rude to you. To be upset because another company is cheaper than us is unfair and unreasonable I think. We strive to be a high-quality builder and not a low cost one. Just because we could not build your backyard for the price that another contractor may have is no reason to give us a poor rating like this. Our design fees are based on property size and intricacies of the design and for your property, therefore, it was $3,500 plus HST which included a scaled 2D plan that any company can use to build the job and 3D plans with pictures showing what the project will look like from multiple angles allowing you to know what your backyard will look like before it is built. For those reading this, please read all our other positive reviews.

    Amazing front yard & parking pad buildout

    What a life saver! It turns out that the house I bought did not have a legal City of Toronto parking spot. To make matters even worse, we had a medium sized tree (and associated tree protection zone) that made it almost impossible to carve out a compliant parking spot. Peter and his team were able to guide us through the process of getting the right paperwork in front of the right city departments (Urban Forestry, Parking Enforcement, and more), and came up with a beautiful landscaping plan that respected the TPZ and satisfied all of the city's other requirements as well. Would highly recommend as a landscaper in general, and can't imagine anyone better if you're trying to work within City of Toronto restrictions to get parking approved (in the wards where it is legal).

    Front yard, porch and walkway overhaul

    Excellent work and professional design. Peter, Frederik and the crew at Green Apple were a pleasure to deal with. They completely overhauled our front yard with a new walkway and steps, retaining wall and a new front porch. Peter kept us up to date on progress and any necessary design changes, is extremely knowledgeable and always available for any questions. We would gladly work with them again.

    Parking pad and walkway

    Peter and his team were very professional in designing and installing their pad and walkway design. They were provided more value for money when compared to other estimates and their recommended materials exceeded the specs of their comparables. Overall very satisfied with their work.

    Full Property Makeover

    Green Apple Landscaping consists of a small team of people who care, are passionate, are conscientious, believe in customer satisfaction, confidently operate specialized equipment and machinery, and demonstrate daily that they take pride in their work and workmanship. From our initial investigative contact with Peter, to the measuring and design vision phase with Fred, and straight through to the construction and craftsmanship details executed by Victor, Simon, and GP, we were wowed! All of them are experienced and hardworking professionals. They kept our budget in mind, welcomed last-minute requests, were always available for on-site consultations and questions, and were meticulous and thorough. The creation of a “10-years-in-our-home” “lands-iversary” (landscaping for our 10th anniversary in our home) was an important step for our satisfaction in it over the next ten years … and beyond, so it was a HUGE task with many minute and grandiose details needing equal attention. No problem for these guys!! We trusted them to create a functional and visually attractive “home-scape” which consisted of complete front and backyard landscaping with lighting elements, new interlocking brick pathways and backyard patio, a new gazebo with insect/sun protection, partial yard enclosure with cedar fencing (including a sliding door for driveway access), extensive planting, readiness for an irrigation system, a new patch of sod, and the creation of a gorgeous brick and wood front-yard focal point demi-wall …. and the final result exceeded our expectations tenfold!! Our results were on time, on budget, and on point! Friends, neighbours, kids on their way to school, and even the odd passer-by will express their joy with our freshened-up yard, improved curb appeal, creative garden additions, and new entertaining spaces. As a family, we smile just looking at it, and beam being amongst the design elements. It’s fabulous! Suffice to say, we are very confident in both the quality and the durability of the work and would highly recommend Green Apple Landscaping for ANY outdoor task given … they are THAT AWESOME!

    Front yard parking pad

    We hired Green Apple Landscaping to help us with the application process, design and construction of our front yard parking pad. Peter and his team were extremely professional and helpful in navigating the entire process. The project was completed on time and within the budget. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality of work but also the level of communication. It is hard to find a company as responsive and professional as Green Apple. Would highly recommend them for any landscaping project.

    Front yard landscaping

    The goal was to replace the retaining wall while protecting a very large tree and create new walkway and front porch. Everything was done very professionally from the design and city permit acquisition to the on site work. The crew were a pleasure to work with and were very professional and easy to communicate with. The project came in on time and on budget and the results are outstanding

    The Best

    Our experience with Green Apple Landscaping could not have been better. They were worth every penny and would not hesitate to use or recommend them for any landscaping construction project. Our project was to build a parking pad on a detached house in The Beaches. There is a lot of red tape to get a permit from the city to do this and Peter and his team are experts at helping you through this process. After having gone through all the steps, I think there is a good chance we would have failed at some point along the way if we had selected a cheaper landscape contractor. So, for this alone they are worth selecting but in addition Green Apple Landscaping is: - Responsive and easy to work with: Peter is a contractor that will actually answer/return your calls and emails. - Knowledgeable: They are experts who will take the time to answer your questions until you are satisfied. And I had a lot of questions. They know which materials are best for your job and how to overcome the obstacles during the build. - Designer with no ego: His talented designer Fred was a dream to work with. We made a lot of comments that he incorporated into the design before and even during the build and not only did he accommodate us, he did it with pleasure which allowed the project to be the best that it could be (for us). - Flexible & Cooperative: When issues came up during the build, they were flexible and offered alternative solutions to choose from. - Build quality SECOND TO NONE: the build team are not some random workers. These guys are highly skilled artists. - Honest: They were 100% true to their estimate and not once did we get that slimy feeling you get when you think your contractor is taking advantage of you. - Proven track record: Their body of work speaks volumes. The end result is simply perfection given the space they had to work with. I understand why Green Apple Landscaping gives such a strong guarantee on their work. Because it costs them nothing since they build it perfect the first time. The improvement to the front of our property is night and day. Even neighbors that were opposed to us building a parking pad are in awe of the final result which will only look better as the plants grow to full size. We have taken the time to write out this review because we are grateful to Green Apple Landscapers for both the finished product as well as their disposition throughout.
