    Ceramic floor tile installation

I used Hanyman Connection to have ceramic floor installed in my kitchen and hallway. The quote was honoured and the workman arrived as promised on time. The installation was not done right the first time and the grout continued to crack and break up in many places. The original handyman came back and replaced the grout a second time but the same problem recurred. I called Handyman Connection to complain and I must admist I was impressed with the way my complaint was handled. They sent someone else out to check the job and I was told the original job was not done properly and that person was no longer with the company. Though it was a big inconvenience to have the floor taken up and re-installed, they did do it very quickly at their own expense. I have a small amount of disappointment with the finished job because there is some difference in grout colour and the spacing of the tiles is off a bit because of how the replacement had to be done, but no one else would notice but me. I was very impressed with the way this company stood behind their work and would recommend them for this reason as we have all heard of people/companies who do not do this and with home renos this can be costly. I would use this company again

    Fix my excercise bike

I man came to the house to fix my bike. I was happy with the service and the price. If I had to take it into the shop I would have paid well over 300 dollars. It's great to have this service in durham.

    Plumbing repair

I had a leak in my roof for about 6 years now...I have had multiple people in here to assess and estimate the damage and repair. For the most part, everyone saw it as a free for all, saying the water leak could be coming from anywhere and it would take time to figure it out and to repair the leak and patch the wall could cost about 2000k. There is a washroom above and we told them we suspected the bathtub since the leak seems to occur when it is full of water and pressure. Even still no one showed real interest. I called Handyman Connection for a plumbing quote. I have had previous reasonable quotes from them but never took the service, so this time I decided to get the quote and go with it no matter what it was just to get some movement on the job. "Dan" came the same day I called them. He is a bright young man who came in and looked at the leak and took our observations. He said he saw this a million times before, that it is most likely the drain and overflow. He gave the very reasonable quote and said he could come as soon as we let him. When he came he explained everything he would do and how he would show us where the leak was and show us the repair. He promised to keep everything tidy and clean up after himself. He made the ceiling cut directly into a bin to minimize mess...he filled up the tub and showed us the leak and let us see everything he was doing then showed us the repair and dry pipe. I'm so impressed with his professionalism, tidiness and his bright bright mind. He finished in an hour....and that was running up an down two times to fill up the tub, so pipe fixing was about 30 minutes. I can finally put this leak to rest after 6 long years. Thanks Handyman for having this wonderful handyman connection. I will never wait this long again when it comes to pipes, I will have them send Dan right away.

electrical, tiling, drywalling, roof patching, plumbing

Whenever we require trades people, we call Handyman Connection in Durham Region. Tradespeople are quickly contacted to give etimates. Eveyone return calls quickly, and trades arrive promptly or are courteous enough to phone if running late. No job is too small, this is the part we especially appreciate. We have used the services of HC-DR about 6 times over the last 10 years and are quick to recomend them to anyone who asks for suggestions on hiring tradespeople. Our house is almost 100 years old, so the challenges are many, real 2x4 studs, no corner is truly square, oversized door openings, etc, so the jobs usually take longer than they anticipate, and yet they do a truly professional job and leave us satisfied.

    plumbing

You can't find a better company than handyman connections. The entire company is honest and very reasonable when it comes to having work done. We first got to know them in 2005. We needed some plumbing done in our bathroom. Mike [last name removed--Ed] was amazing. He not only fixed our plumbing problem, but proved to be one of the best in the business when it came to cleaning up and the over all cost. We now will only have Mike do our repairs around our home which has included dry walling for a ceiling leak, fixtures in the bathroom replaced, toilet repairs.. you name it Mike does it right the first time. The cost is "unbeatable". Not to forget Kristen the wonderful lady who answers all my calls of despair when I need Mike. It is so nice to know that in today's age we have a company that you can count on for all your home repairs. Robert and MaryJane [personal info removed--Ed]

    Kitchen Counter, floor replaced

I called this company to replace my kitchen counter and floor in 2003 and 2005. They sent a man called Randy both times and he did a great job. The one thing that really impressed me was his attention to detail and finishing. Instead of just installing the tile directly over the previous tile, he layed a sub floor and then installed the tile so that it was completely level. There had been a 'bump' in the floor where the previous floor had been installed and when he was finished it looked great! He was very professional and so was the company when I spoke to them on the phone.

    TILE REPAIR THRESHOLD.

Very professional service. The repair job looked better than new and very fast completion. The work area was even cleaner than before with no mess from repair. Rate is higher than non-professional but you get what you pay for!
