Quote over the phone was $1200. They sent evaluator - it then went to a bit more - approximately 1500$. When the move was completed - $1780. They will include weird charges in there - I packed my Queen mattress on my own - they charged me for the plastic which was mine. There's also valuation charge, lol $210 - I knew about it earlier, but then again... lol.. They scraped my washer in condo - I noticed it later. When they were leaving, one of the tree branches got stuck in the truck's middle door - they left me to clean the street out of leaves - and they have seen it as two workers were outside the truck when that happened. I had to pay also for their two additional breaks excluding their lunch break. They also charge when they leave their facility until they get back to their facility - I was aware of that, too, but they charged me for at least half an hour more than they should. Anyway, I would stay away. I complained, but they are pretty much have their stand and that's it. Prepare to pay for the service that they did not provide.

I recently used Hudson Movers and was completely satisfied. Pat Flynn, who provided the estimate was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The movers, Team James (James, Jacob and Mike) were professional, efficient and friendly. The move took less time than estimated and the final cost was less than the estimate. Moving can be stressful, but, for me, Hudson lessened the stress. I would definitely recommend Hudson to friends and family. Many thanks.

I needed to move a large piece of furniture from one area of the house to the other and hired Hudson Movers to do the job. They brought adequate number of staff to move the piece. The moving crew were extremely professional, respected the property with proper mats to protect carpeting and got the job quickly. I was totally impressed with the entire process and am considering them as our movers when we move! Thank you Mr. Clifford and company for a job well done!

A HUGE disappointment..... I hired Hudson because of their reputation. They certainly charge a lot more than other movers and I happily accepted this thinking they would take good care of my things. They LOST 2 irreplaceable Persian carpets during a short move within Toronto. What made matters worse, when I asked about the loss I was curtly told 'you should have bought insurance'. No apology, no concern whatsoever. Don't pay the extra for Hudson, it's not worth it. Look elsewhere for your moving needs.

I have used Hudson Movers several times and there's a reason I keep using them....simply put, they are OUTSTANDING. The movers (Bryce, Dennis and Mike) were friendy, polite, extremely accommodating and they made a stressful experience such as moving much easier. There wasn't a scratch on any wall either in the condo I left or the condo I moved into, nor was there any damage to the furniture. Art work and glass-top tables are packed very carefully. If you are looking for an amazing moving company, I would look no further than Hudson Movers.

If you are thinking about using Hudson Movers, READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE SIGNING WITH THEM. We have been loyal Hudson clients for the last several moves. After our latest move, NEVER AGAIN will we use them! Hudson is/was a family-run business, now appear more concerned about their bottom line than making their customer happy. They sent subcontractors who had no idea what they are were doing (and admitted that to us). We thought having 4 guys was more efficient. They ended up tripping over each other and spending more hours than budgeted. Their foreman was abusive to their staff. They walked into our home with wet and muddy shoes and damaged 3-week old carpet. While they offered to clean it, everyone knows you cannot really clean new carpet properly after its been muddied. I asked why they did not wear covers on their shoes (being as it was a rainy day). They said "it was not loaded on the truck for this particular move" (but offered no explanation why). They were asked not to take furniture to the basement in the new place unless it fit standing up. Nevertheless, they took the furniture to the basement. They damaged several pieces of furniture and initially denied responsibility for causing such damage (including damage caused by stacking pieces one on top of each other). Once we elevated our complaints to the owner, they sent someone to fix it, but its still damaged. Another piece of furniture was damaged while being sent out to get repaired. Do you think they denied responsibility for causing that damage too? OF COURSE! I have referred Hudson to many friends and colleagues--never again! Their egos have obviously gotten to their heads. Some of their guys were nice, respectful and made a genuine effort, so I'm not blaming them. It's Hudson management that has gone downhill. Unfortunately, you live and learn...

My company, Waypointers Inc., has used the services of Hudson Movers several times over the years and if anyone needs a top-notch moving company, Hudson is one of the very best around. They do send out a representative to survey the home/condo/business to make accurate estimates and have a chance to discuss all the details with the client so that there are no misunderstandings. They are not the cheapest company, but you get what you pay for. Their customer service at all levels is superior and the client is treated with utmost care. The movers have always been very courteous, friendly, and are very careful with all items to be moved. They introduce themselves, ensure items are packed appropriately, are well groomed and dressed in corporate attire. They are on time at both ends of the job. There are no hidden costs tacked onto the estimate, which is explained in detail. They are happy to modify an order and will explain the costs involved. I highly recommend Hudson Movers. We have used Hudsons several times and they never disappoint. We made sure all of our boxes were packed and accurately labeled. Hudsons guys showed up on time and paked up our 1400sf two storey home in about 2 hours. We met them at the new place (condo) and had to wait for about 2 hrs to get the elevator - they then quickly packed everything onto dollies and got all the boxes into our condo in about 1.5 hrs. Everything was perfect. their estimate was $1700 and the final price was $1800 so we were happy. Nothing broken - nothing lost...Absolutely perfect!
