I Highly recommend John and his team. They are very friendly and have excellent prices. It was convenient to email a photo of my piece of furniture and get a quote. They refinished a table top that was completely stripped of its finish. They also made a matching leaf for my dining table.

Our lovely table has had a teapot mark for almost 5 years. Johnny came out removed the mark, touched up numerous other chips in the set and left everything like new. Best $200 I've spent in a long time!

I inherited my great-grandmother's rocking chair and it was coming apart at the joints. Johnny knocked it apart and did a great job regluing it. The chair is like new again- solid! The service was on time and was a very reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend Johnny's and would use them again.

John was able to create the perfect headboard for my bedroom, absolutely love it! Also, I have taken him many pieces to be lacquered and brought back to life in a modern way. He has lacquered everything from Ikea to Homesense and antique items that now look like they could be sold on King St East for thousands of dollars! Johnny's Finishing Shop is the best in the city.

I INHERITED A FRENCH PROVINCIAL DININGSET FROM MY MOTHER, ABOUT FORTY FIVE YEARS OLD. jOHNNY RESTORED THE DINING CHAIRS IN WALNUT, INCLUDING REUPHOLSTERING WITH FABRIC CHOSEN FROM HIS COLLECTION. THEY ARE RESTORED TO THEIR FORMER BEAUTY AND I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS.

I knew my parents had often used Johnny's shop over the years, so when I inherited all the family's antique furniture, I knew who to call. Over the course of 6 months, Johnny helped me decide which pieces to keep, how to re-purpose those I wasn't crazy about and how to best refinish and repair those I wanted to keep as-is. Seeing new life breathed back into the dated (but lovely) furniture I grew up with has been a wonderful process to witness. His shop also skillfully created 2 extra leaves to match and fit a harvest table I bought second hand - it is now an 8 foot stunner. With each vanful of furniture that arrived, my heart filled with appreciation and happiness. Johnny also went out of his way to deliver the final load to my new home in Hamilton without question. Johnny is knowledgeable, helpful, honest as can be and truly a wonderful business owner. He quite obviusly loves and appreciates good furniture. After all our chats and projects, I'd consider him a friend now. I'm almost sad that my house is now furnished and I can't see another piece that needs attention!

John was very professional and did an excellent job restoring the bedset from my childhood for my son. He provided door to door service and the end product is fantastic. We will be getting John to refinish some other furniture in the future for us given this very positive experience.

Johnny's Finishing restored our maple dining room suite consisting of six chairs, table, and hutch to better than original condition. After multiple other quotes and opinions that stated the furniture was "not worth restoring", John provided us with a very informative history of where the furniture had originated and a competitive quote. The restoration took approximately five weeks to complete and our expectations were exceeded. We were extremely happy with the results.

We are a midsized company in the financial markets. Last weekend we had our large boardroom table refinished by Johnny’s Finishing shop. The table was let than pristine, including: Water marks, scratches, and humidity rippling. In addition to this the other wood in the room was of a different stain and the room lacked coherence. We wanted to have all the damage repaired and the table re-stained to match the cabinets – all work needed to be done on site. John came in and took the time to come down to the office and listen to our concerns and expectations, and supplied multiple routes (and associated quotes) we could take to treat the issues. The work done was excellent. His team came in on off business hours so we did not have any disturbance to regular business flow. The end result it just beautiful - even better than we had expected. I am thrilled with the work done by Johnny and his team at Johnny's Finishing Shop. My 1970's pecan dining room table and buffet were repaired and refinished beautifully in an updated espresso finish. A 1940's desk, mirror, drum table and an antique wash stand were likewise faultlessly refinished. Johnny gives friendly, professional service and is eager to do a job right. I highly recommend this furniture refinishing company and plan to use it again in the future.
