Before having an old dining room table refinished, I asked three contractors look at it and provide quotes. John took time to examine the table in person and discuss the work involved, and provided the most affordable quote. I am very pleased with the work they did - the table has been completely transformed and looks great.

John and his team brought new life to my grandmother's china cabinet. They stripped it, installed glass shelves and lighting in place of the wooden shelves and refinished it in a gorgeous, rich mahogany colour. It looks spectacular -- contemporary and yet, they maintained the integrity of the original piece. I'm thrilled.

Outstanding work on what I thought was an impossible to match colour and finish. Our dining room table and one of the chairs had almost 20 years of serious sun damage in places (the chair had cat claw damage too). When we got the furniture back, I asked how it went, and John confessed that his crew had to strip and refinish it 3 times to get it perfect. He clearly has high standards of quality. I can't tell which of the chairs was the one redone, as it's a perfect match. We are 110% satisfied with the work, and John was professional and a pleasure to deal with. I first used Homestars after a recommendation from a friend. I had my wood floors refinished and was very happy with the work....so when I needed some furniture refinished I again went on the site to find a suitable company. I called Johnny's Refinishing and they have just delivered my refinished dining room table. It looks fabulous...very courteous, very careful, very good work. I am very pleased.

In a moment of weakness and stupidity a few years ago, I painted my beautiful dining chairs white. The minute I saw them I regretted the decision. Today John delivered my chairs and they were beautifully restored to their original oak finish. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and workmanship.

I entrusted Johnny's with 4 pieces of furniture--2 heirloom mahogany antiques (table and secretary desk)from Barbados, one antique china cabinet and one Danish modern teak armchair from the 60's (in a pile of broken pieces!). The mahogany table had popped and broken veneer tiles, the desk had a broken piece of trim and was badly dried out--both came back to me in beautiful and authentically restored condition. The china cabinet is also great, and the teak chair was repaired and re-upholstered perfectly. My only small gripe was that the job took longer than originally estimated and communication was a little sparse, so I often felt like I was nagging just to find out the new ETA. But the craftsmanship and devotion to doing the job authentically and well were definitely worth the wait in the end!!

John Dudys did some fantastic work refinishing the wood on several antique pieces we had in the house. The pieces were also updated with new upholstery. Both of these elements make the furniture look fabulous. John provided guidance on fabric selection and the wood finishing was excellent - high attention to detail. We have an antique settee, several stools and chairs which are now stand out pieces in the house. Thanks to John and his team - we would definitely recommend them highly.

Recently my mother's antique diningroom table and chairs were damaged due to a water leakage we had in the house. It was a pleasure dealing with John as he was sympathetic towards my situation and guided me in choosing the fabric to recover the chairs.
