John and his team are professionals who take pride in their work and deliver quality results. He listens carefully to his clients and also shows much respect for the furniture he is given to work with. He is very polite, pleasant and helpful in his suggestions. My dining table got a second life with a fabulous look. In general, I have been very frustrated by the sloppy services provided by many Canadian firms. John, however, gives me hope for this country!

John refinished our antique table top and did a wonderful job...finish is perfect. John is friendly, professional, meets his time commitments and is reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

John took our tired dining room furniture and transformed it into a show room quality suite. The attention to detail was remarkable. He delivered on all of his promises. In adition to his terrific work, John dropped by the house several days after delivery to make what ultimately proved to be a very minor adjustment. He even gave us some terrific decorating suggestions. We've since entrusted John and his team with a wardrobe that's been in the family for about ninety years. John's work is of the highest quality!

Rarely do we find ourselves in a position that we feel compelled to write a review regarding the quality of service and beautiful final product we receive. Our "darling" puppy on his first day alone and free in our condo had decided to chew the edge of our beautiful armoire. We were devastated. We contacted Johnny's Finishing Shop after reading the positive reviews that were posted. It was the best decision we could have made. Peter did an outstanding job, rebuilding the corner and profile to PERFECTLY match the opposing side. The stain he selected is flawless to the original stain. We couldn't be happier with the results and professionalism in completing this project. A big thank you to Peter and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!

I was a little nervous when John came to pick up the boardroom table and credenza they both mean alot to me. When he delivered the table and credenza afther it was all done i almost started crying it looked SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you John for the wonderful work! Paola

We were in need of furniture refinishing.restoration after water damage in out house occured. John at Johnny's Finishing Shop was personable, polite and refinshined our furniture beautifully. On top of that their pricing was overall 20-30 percent lower than other refinishing shops. Our articles were returned 2 weeks later than expected but it was worth the wait!

John turned a tired old dining room set from the 60's into a contemporary treasure. Behind the wicker backed chairs and dated finish he could see the quality construction and 'good bones', and his knowledge of antique furniture gave us added confidence. The end result was a beautiful matte finished espresso table and 6 chairs re-made with upholstered backs and seats. The same big comfortable chairs that they'd always been, but now part of an amazing new dining room set. We could never have bought this kind of quality at these prices in todays market. This isn't the first work that John Dudys has done for us, and it certainly won't be the last!

I never met Jonny before or saw any work that he had done, just found his number from Homestars site and place a call to him right before we move. I wanted to refinish a buffet and a drop-leaf table that my sister left me. He sent a guy to pick up the furniture. We did not even know how much and how he will do the work. Frankly, we were a bit worried. I didn’t even know what is a good re-finish should be look like! The day he delivered the finished furniture, I could only say "wow, wow and wow", what a beautiful job! He not only fixed the broken parts, re-finished all exteriors, but also sand/polished inside of the buffet. I may not know much about furniture refinishing, but I know this is the highest standard of furniture refinishing you can ask for! Better than any antiques in a reputable shop! Oh, I could only wish my dear sister to see this. Anyway, now I am planning to have Jonny finish a few more pieces that we have, and my mother is considering the same thing too! Johnny completed a couple of jobs for us and both of them were very well done. Firstly, he fixed our dining room chair set as most of the chairs were a bit rickety. We also needed to get an intricate piece of furniture partially rebuilt and that also required a fair bit of fixing. Johnny kindly rushed the job for us as we were moving. Despite the rush, he has done a superb job and I would recommend him to anyone. He was a pleasure to deal with and takes his work seriously which shows in the end result. A craftsmen to be sure. I have a set of antique dining room chairs with wheels on the front. When I purchased the chairs, one of the wheels was not attached. On inspection we found that there was a large crack in the leg. I took it to another refinishing shop. They did a good job but at Thanksgiving the wheel came off again. This time I took it to Johnny's. He did a fabulous job fixing the wheel/leg. You would never know it was repaired. It is so good in fact that we had to "mark" the chair so we remember which one it was! The work was timely and very reasonably priced. I plan on using Johnny's for my next refinishing job.
