Renovating a kitchen can be terrifying for some and exciting for others - my husband and I fit into the 'exciting' category and we knew when we met Kelly that she was a perfect 'designer' match for us! We both had a very clear vision for what we were looking for in our kitchen which I am sure can be a challenge for any designer but Kelly listened carefully to all of our ideas and requests (including one from my husband about a raised portion of the 11+ft island that both Kelly and I were not 100% sold on!). She then went off with our hopes and created a set of drawings that not only reflected all that we were looking for, but elevated the kitchen to a new level! Interestingly enough, both Kelly and I loved what she did with my husband's island request - she took a potentially 80's feature and made it contemporary and indispensible - well done! Our kitchen reflects our design sensibilities and the functionality is outstanding! We are extremely happy with the craftsmanship of the Elmwood millwork and particularly the Cambria counters. The installation was on time and while all installations have minor adjustments needed, Kelly and her team were responsive and keen to make it right. Kelly has a warm and bright personality with a keen eye for detail and I would recommend her as a designer any day - she made the experience exciting and rewarding and we are absolutely thrilled with our completed kitchen!

Our kitchen odyssey began back in late 2010 when my husband and I decided to replace our original “builder installed” 20 year old kitchen that had clearly seen better days. Over the previous summer, I had visited and interviewed kitchen designers from one end of the GTA to the other and talked to people about their own renovation experiences, before finally settling on Kitchen Designers Plus (KDP) this past October. I felt comfortable with my decision since it was based on their excellent website, customer feedback and the ease at which our designer, Stephanie Downes, could interpret my layman “wants and wishes” into something concrete and realistic (and affordable!). Over the next few weeks, Stephanie, my husband and I planned the new kitchen. With the exception of the walls, everything else was to be replaced. Stephanie led us through the selection process – appliances…faucets and sinks….the granite countertop…flooring and backsplashes…cupboards and styles…lighting and plumbing. It could have been overwhelming but instead Stephanie made it fun. She even accompanied us on her days off to help us during the selection process and ensured the choices fit within the overall scheme of the kitchen and within our budget. Demolition was a breeze and installation began to bear fruit from the months of planning: the flooring is awesome, the granite counters breathtaking, the cabinetry is amazing. Stephanie incorporated several lighting options, which meant we could alternate between soft to bright lighting: awesome! Of course no renovation is without some problems and ours was no exception: a sloped ceiling, a too-wide wine cabinet, a furnace vent relocation - but the finished product is more than we hoped or dreamed: a kitchen transformed from a 1990’s “melamine special” into one that we’re proud of. With many, many thanks to Stephanie – for her patience (especially), her humour and her guidance through what was a new and uncharted process for us. No regrets (and wish we'd done it sooner).

Thank you to Kelly and her team (Paul, Bruce, Les, Pierre & Stepan)! We moved into our new home last summer. The kitchen was very out-dated and not functional at all. We knew it would be a big project because we also wanted to remove walls. We went to KDP in Oakville and were overwhelmed with all the different choices we had, but Kelly made it very easy for us. She was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Kelly did an amazing job on our design and had a lot of great ideas. The hardest part for us was picking out the countertop and backsplash and Kelly had a lot of patience and never made us feel rushed. She always had solutions to our concerns and got them fixed right away. To make a long story short - We love our kitchen, it is functional and beautiful. We get a lot of compliments and we finally feel at home. I whole heartedly recommend KDP and especially Kelly. Thanks again, it was a great experience. You definitely earned your 10/10.

We would highly recommend Kelly at Kitchen Designers Plus Oakville. Kelly's design proposal best represented our vision, more over the work of three other designers in the area. We chose to work with Kelly based on that design and our impression that she would best manage the project. Kelly fulfilled both roles extremely well: she was able to translate our vision, continuing throughout the project; and she managed the project professionally, coming in on time and on budget. Our experience was very positive. Kelly made the journey fun. And we have a kitchen that is enjoyably functional and absolutely stunning.

We really appreciate everything Kelly did to help us realize our dream kitchen. Our kitchen was 30 years old and in desperate need of a face lift. From the beginning, her attention to detail, excellent project management skills and ongoing dialogue ensured that our kitchen was completed on time and to a high degree of excellence. Ms. Pat Noddle offered several designs, recommended the tradespeople and assured us that the work will be completed within six weeks. We found Pat very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. The trades people preparing the structural work were also knowledgeable and courteous. John was very committed to ensuring we selected a beautiful and functional design that would meet the needs of our family and entertaining. The reno process encompassed 2/3 of the main floor and was completed in 7 weeks. All of the trades people were showed up promptly and were polite. Minor changes were made on the fly without delay. When we were on vacation, john was able to coordinate appliances and hardware deliveries on behalf of us. This ensured the job progressed smoothly and we were not held up for any scheduling issues. The Elmwood cabinets were exactly as specified and of a very high quality. We would definitely work with John and KDP again when we tackle the washrooms in the near future.

After looking at several kitchen design stores in the area most did not impress us. We dropped into the KDP showroom on Dundas and were immediately impressed with both with the style of cabinetry and care of design. John and Stephanie listened to our requirements and worked with us to help design the ideal kitchen. Our kitchen was delivered and installed on-time and even though we were demanding customers, John accommodated any challenges and our concerns. We are thrilled with the final result!

As part of a total rebuild of our home, we worked with Cindy at Kitchen Designers Plus to design and build our dream kitchen. We love to cook and as such, a kitchen that would be as easy to use as it was beautiful was critical to us. Cindy quickly figured out what was important to us and came up with a design which was creative and functional. Her level of service was exceptional...going above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the final result. The results speak for themselves...and the oohs and aahs from friends and family are a testament to the quality of the outcome. Thanks to Cindy for her hard work and commitment to service. We love our new kitchen!

KDP turned our narrow and small kitchen into a beautiful, functional and wonderful room. Victor, Tony, Rob and Junior were timely, professional and skilled professionals. John was always responsive, accommodating and honest. Stephanie designed a beautiful plan and guided us through every step of the process. She was always responsive, patient, and ensured that everything was completed to our satisfaction. KDP delivered everything we had hoped for. We would recommend KDP with out hesitation.
