I bought my very first house in Nov. Prior to signing the offer, the home inspector assured me that all the electrical work was updated and that there was no knob and tube wiring in the house. I bought the house, and I need some electrical work done, like installing some dryer plugs and an outside porch light, etc, so I searched Homestars and picked Kiya Sunrise Electrical based on stellar reviews. Kiya came the same day to do an estimate and within 2 minutes of examining my home was able to tell me that my house was 100% knob and tube! I was in shock, but what made the whole experience more manageable is that Kiya was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the way. His team was amazing, they finished the work on time, and patched up all the holes in the walls. One of the greatest thing is that Kiya made wonderful suggestions to me that I would have no way of knowing myself, being a very green house owner, like what kind of fixtures to get and where, what kind of vents I needed (he installed an amazingly quiet stove vent that I had no idea even existed); and made all kinds of other wonderful suggestions. He showed all the details of all the work they were doing, and answered all my questions. He was really more like an angel, or a social worker (or both combined, really!) than an electrician (although, of course, he is the best electrician)! I don't think I could have gotten through this awful shock by myself or with any other electrician! Kiya showed me incredible personal involvement and concern and the highest degree of professionalism! I will use Kiya for all my electrical needs in the future and will recommend him to all my friends. Thank you Kiya so very much! My house feels and looks like home because of you!

Kia and his team were amazing. From the beginning, Kiya was so easy to work with, always on time, incredibly hard working. He did everything on budget and went far above and beyond to help me with other aspects of the house. His work was fantastic and he barely made any holes in my walls for the knob and tube replacement. He always left the job site clean and back to how he found it. Kia provided so much help and advice and if there was anything I needed done, he was able to do it. Nothing was impossible for him. His electrical work was perfect and his friendliness, helpfulness and devotion to satisfying his customers make the BEST electrician anyone could ever ask for.

Kia has done an excellent job for us. He has been punctual and very competent in completing his work. He has been available and responded to our phone calls. We will utilize his skills services in the future and will recommend him to friends and family.

One terrific group of experts!! I interviewed several electricians before I decided to work with Kiya and his crew. Let me tell you it was a fantastic decision on my part. This crew exceeded my expectations in every aspect. First of all the price was the best and none of the other companies would approach the deal that I got. Basically I needed knob and tube wiring removed from my entire house. Plus I wanted pot lights in a number of rooms inside and out. I have a flat roof and no attic which makes this task very difficult and time consuming. I also wanted those heavy duty kitchen outlets in both of my kitchens which other companies were not willing to do. Of course Kiya had no problem with this request and at no extra charge. Speaking of no extra charge; I really had my heart set on having some pot lights on the second floor outside my window. The space to put pot lights where I wanted them, proved to be very challenging. Rather than dismiss me and tell me it can’t be done like I’m sure 99% of other people would have said; Kiya and his crew rose to the challenge and went out of their way to make this happen. After lots of hard work and several hours later; these guys managed the impossible. The outside of my house looks amazing. Thanks to the great care of this highly competent group of men. I am so happy with how they made my house look. I also love the way they genuinely care and follow up with you even after they finish the work to ensure everything is as it should be. Had a problem where most lights and outlets on the West side of the house would act up. It eventually got to the point where all those rooms stopped getting power completely. They came in to assess the problem and concluded that it all came down to faulty wiring. They replaced the wiring from the outlets/lights to the panel. Power is as good as new. Haven't had a problem ever since.

Kiya was courtous and prompt with his work. He helped wire my basement and rewire my upper level which had lots of ungrounded wires. He always took the time to call back and communicate with us. Most of all - he was honest. His prices were very reasonable.

Kiya and his crew did a great job! It was a big job stripping an old house of knob and tube. He did an extremely thorough job and I'm confident there were no short cuts taken. They took care to protect the floors and paneling. And they left the place very clean. I highly recommend Kiya!!!

Kia knew what the problem was and he solved it right away. He was fast, efficient and friendly. He was able to answer any questions I asked.His prices are also reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone.
