We had Larry's painting come out to quote on our home exterior paint work. They were middle of the road price wise but gave us a pack of references and information on the paint they would use etc so we went with them. We live in a brick century home so the only painting is the trim and windows. The paint was so old that it was falling off in big chunks by itself down to bare wood, they quoted scraping off the old paint before priming. We confirmed this would be done at the time of quote and when they started. We explained we didn't want lumpy old paint under the new paint. They agreed that that would be a shoddy way of doing things, and that wasn't what they would do. Unfortunately, it was exactly what they did, they primed the front of our home before the old paint was removed. We called them to try and rectify this, assuming they would tell us it was more money etc.. but NO, they told us they wouldn't continue with the work and were holding $925.00 of our deposit for the two cans of primer and 7 hours labour! They made no attempt to fix the situation or carry on.

Larry's quoted almost twice as much as another company but we went with Larry's because they represented themselves as more careful and skilled and we wanted a more professional job. When we complained about the sloppiness, Larry himself told us that our home was not a "Home and Garden" home. See pictures.

They were very timely, and accommodating with any requests I made. The products/materials they used were great. They also stayed with their quotes, and had a very friendly staff. I would use them again.

We hired Larry's painters to do some work based on a recommendation from a neighbour. We had our front porch (we live in a semi and both sides were done at the same time) and our bathroom painted. They used the wrong kind of paint (even after I specifically asked them to make sure they used proper bathroom, mould resistant paint in the bathroom and high-traffic outdoor paint on the porch). The paint in the bathroom started developing mould after a few months and then started to crack around where the tiles meet the wall! And the paint on the porch peeled and was dull looking after less than one year! Trying to get them to come back to correct their work has been such a hassle; the owner is never available and when someone finally does call back they call from a cell phone, I can’t hear or understand them and nothing gets resolved! I would NEVER refer them or use them again!!!

Everyone at Larry's did a great job. Russell came out and gave us the quote and he took the time to explain everything in detail. The guys that did the work did excellent work on everything - wood trim around windows, wood and aluminium on front porch, fibreglass doors and wood trim at back. Would recommend them to anyone.

We found Larry's Painting listed in the local paper (Beach Metro News). They gave an initial estimate which was mid-priced compared to other quotes. They came in to confirm the estimate & although it was higher, we felt that the increase was explained & justified. THe best part was the professional and courtesy work done by the 3 man painting team. They were experienced, met our tight timeline & showed flexibility on our on the fly changes.

We were looking for some paint options for our newly renovated kitchen and we went to Larrys to look for some professional help in the painting department. We are satisfied with he results.

I was recommended to Larry's painting and they did a great job. They arrived on time, were patient as we tried to match the colour and cleaned up when they were done They even wore "Larry"s t- shirt's so I knew where they were from. I would definitely use them again.

I hired this company to paint my living room and I'm very pleased with the results. The gentleman who gave me the quote was the one who did the work, and the room is perfect. He patched every nail hole in the walls and sanded the entire room. The paint itself was perfectly applied, two coats on the walls and four (!) on the door. It was a damp day, but the painter didn't rush and left plenty of time between coats for everything to dry.

We found out about Larry's Painting through a flyer he distributed in our neighbourhood, and we then found out a friend had used him and recommended him. They were very responsive to us, they stuck to the estimate exactly, the work took longer than we expected (just a couple of days or so each session) and we were generally very happy with their work.
